Introduction for angelaterese13

I've been married to the same fellow for 27 years and we are parents to 7. I work outside the home as an administrative assistant - basically, a secretary. I'm interested in crafting (beading jewelry, dabbling in crocheting and knitting), cooking and vegetable gardening. I was raised in the country, but currently live in the suburbs where I try to make my little half acre feel like a farm anyway. I raise rabbits for meat and some are for sale as pets. I love to forage for wild greens and mushrooms. You never know what's going on in my strange, little world. Oh, and I love reading about other people's interests and thoughts, too!

And you love following the ramblings of hot messes!

Crocheting and macrame are, to me, among the finest of crafts. The results, skilfully done, are both artistic and functional. Welcome!

Seven kids is a huge family these days! We have four, and most people think we're odd emoticon :winking:
I look forward to reading all about your rabbits and your garden, and most of all foraging! I'd love to learn more about identifying edibles in the wild.

Parents to 7? you have my fullest attention and when ever you need a rest just say and I will make room for you on the Persona Paper couch. Welcome!

So nice seeing you on this site! I look forward to reading what you produce and would love to know more about your foraging. Sounds interesting.

Our lives are not QUITE as hectic nowadays as the three oldest no longer live at home. It's still a nuthouse, though! : )

Glad to see you here, too! It feels very welcoming here - I love the format and the content, and a lot of the writers already!

Hello and welcome! Enjoy your time here. I joined a few days ago and I am happily enjoying it.

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 2:45 PM

Yeah, people do find us somewhat odd, too. I LOVE foraging - my neighbors have gotten used to me asking to eat their weeds. heehee!

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 2:58 PM

Thanks for the welcome! I was glad to find you here - I haven't done so much on Bubblews as of late. I wish I was more experienced with the needlework, but I have produced several afghans, dish cloths, scarves and hats - everything has been square or rectangular...

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 3:01 PM

That I do! It's your doing that I'm here. That sounded bad...I'm not a groupie, heehee. I'm pleased to have been told about a really promising looking writer's forum - thank you for that!

VinceSummers wrote on January 12, 2015, 3:01 PM

If I could do as much, I'd be a happy camper. Actually, I could once do pretty decent macrame. No, I'm not talking about plant holders. Any fool can do those. I mean real macrame.

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 3:03 PM

Hello - thank you for the welcome! I'm glad you're happy here, too - it seems very welcoming and promising here.

Hello I'm Helen, still really new here too and getting used to the site but it seems great. Sounds like you have some very crafty hobbies

You know I love ALL of your ramblings and foraging adventures. My crochet is basically limited, too, but I have made some great "foot warmers" (little slippers) and neck scarves that are sold on breast cancer sites to benefit all of us that are still fighting this miserable disease. So glad we connected again! HUGS!

McIntire wrote on January 12, 2015, 3:53 PM

I'd heard my miserable ex-husband decided to forage for wild mushrooms recently. He ended up in the hospital for picking the wrong ones. And that's all I'll say about that...lol!)

The TOS says I can't be obscene. Are Speedos obscene? I will plaster those pictures all over here, plus my friends in banana hammocks.

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 10:53 PM

I think I'd probably hold off on the Speedo pics for now...Of course, I just put up a post with my husband's undies...definitely not a Speedo...

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 10:54 PM

Oh, my! Did he not know what he was doing? I stick to the few that I've known my whole life. No experimentation!

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 10:56 PM

Hi, Helen. I hope we all do well here and get to know each other through our writing. Nice to meet you!

angelaterese13 wrote on January 12, 2015, 11:03 PM

I have more to learn about you yet, I see. How wonderful that you donate your work! I used to make lap throws to give to the nursing homes back when I worked 3rd shift for a catalog company - it would get quiet and I could crochet my fingers off!

Ahhh! So you know the drill! Your household was probably a lot better organized - mine has always been a crazy house! I look forward to reading your writing as well.

Do you have a copy of "The Slang Dictionary for every Bodily Organ or Process?" Or are you the author?

houserulesradio wrote on January 13, 2015, 11:48 AM

I was a consultant given my extensive 3rd Leg knowledge of Coin Purses and Kickstands.

sounds like you have a great lifestyle - it is a while since I last ate rabbit - it was marvellous

angelaterese13 wrote on January 16, 2015, 10:48 PM

It is something I learned from my parents and I still keep learning more about it all the time. I find it fascinating.

Good to meet up with you here. I'm just starting out, hopefully will have something written by the end of my day.
