Tis The Season To Re-evaluate Everything

Every year around this time the same thing happens all over the world. I will assume this happens all over the world until someone tells me different. People think about their spending habits as well as eating habits, exercise routines or lack there of and whatever else floats your boat throughout the year.
I fall into the pack when it comes to these thoughts. I myself am currently thinking about how I can better spend my money so that at the end of this year I can look back and say wow what a great job I did of investing in myself. I know I need to smarten up with my eating as well as I need to get back to the gym.
The problem I think with being a responsible adult is the actual responsibility of taking care of everyone and everything else that you have in your life. We tend to forego things like exercise or eat something quick and easy instead of preparing healthy meals. Sleep goes by the way side as well.
Because of New Years and the pressure of resolutions even though I don't do the resolution thing it really does get you evaluating how you are doing at the moment and what you might need to do to improve your life.

My New Year's resolution was (is?) not to buy any more books in 2015. It sounds silly, but it will save me money. Plus, I conducted an inventory. I currently have 145 unread and/or unfinished books in the house. This does not include stuff on my kindle. I've taken the goodreads challenge to read 50, and I've got to further cull what I have to donate some to the library. Now that the important stuff is our way—

Yes the New Year gives us an opportunity to start another 'chapter' in our life and although not really making any 'resolutions' as such I have set some 'goals' for 2015 !
I hope at the end of the year you can say to yourself "Self , job well done" :)

I can definitely identify with allowing self-care to go by the wayside when we're focused on caring for others!

It is very true isn't it?

That is the goal my friend. I hope you have just as much success.

wow you love your books. I have a bunch as well that i have never read. I should do the same thing. Especially with magazines. I buy them then don't read all of them.

I do not do the resolution thing too. I rather have a working plan for investment.
