Losing Our Sight

We were given choices - options what we like to do, what we want to be or where we want to go. We race with others with our own choices. We race so fast so we can outrun other people. We are too hungry to reach our destination.

Our eagerness to better other people tends to lose our focus and along the way we lose our vision. We are compelled to take the short route that leads to a dead end. We missed our plan, we missed the direction and we are lost.

We are too obsessed with becoming better with the next person when we can just enjoy our effort so we become a better person. We think too much of our pride instead of the moral sense of caring for others. We run our race unmindful of other people because we want to be on top of everyone instead of helping those who stumble during the race and help them finish the run.

Unless we choose to think differently : "considering others better than ourselves" What a world of turn-around! emoticon

I take the path at my own pace - anyone wanting to run past and overtake me is welcome

We are raised to think from a paradigm of scarcity. Compete compete or you'll never have enough! And some are not good at that, and many don't want to be.

I think that what should all of us must, run our own race at our own pace.

Very few think that way. I always believe that it is not really necessary to better other people but to be the best we could be.

Competition most of the times drives people to try harder and harder beyond their limit until they get envy and mad.

We need less competition and more cooperation.
