It's a Louie kind of thing...

So sometimes thinks I spend too much time on the computer. And then he'll remind me "Hey...Dad...I am here".

Never pushy about it...always polite and well mannered...and so hard to resist. emoticon

I'll be typing away, and suddenly he'll reach up from the floor with one paw and pat my arm...or like in the video here, where he comes up behind me and taps my shoulder:

YouTube - Louie needs some love

And he doesn't want much, just about 30 seconds of attention, then he goes back to whatever he was doing.

(I set the camera running because I knew he would eventually need some love, I had to shoot about 15 minutes of video before he finally showed up, which I then edited down to the clip shown)

We have an elderly female Lab living with us, and she grows needier as she ages. She sleeps most of the time, but when she's awake, she wants attention.

Your Louie and my Joe must be cousins somewhere back along the line. He behaves in a very similar fashion.

Animals have their way of communicating with us. Cats are so cool and calm about everything. I just love that about them.

That's so cute, my cat will come and park herself on my lap if she thinks I should pay attention to her and not the IPad.

I love it when cats do this. The timing is always brilliant too. Whenever John went to bed I was left alone on the computer and I swear I could set my watch on Flo-Jo coming over at around midnight 'asking' me to pick her up. I always did - obviously - and proceeded to give her a cuddle. Then she would settle down on my lap for a few minutes. It was our special time and I miss it (and her) a lot. Watching Louie is a strange kind of therapy for every time, as does spoiling Mum's cats whenever I'm down there. Thanks for sharing that cute video. emoticon

I really like how you formatted this post. My mini dachshund often interrupts me too, with sad doleful eyes.

Aww that really cute how your kitty gets your attention, my cat is a little more pushy about it, she just jumps on my hands while on typing and tries to fit between the desk and the keyboard, kittys are very lovable.

Louie's too cute for his own good! I'd have a hard time resisting him! :) lol

I had a "Lou" once. A Cindy Lou. A TOY chihuahua. The sweetest dog on this earth. I would be on the computer and she'd want my attention. I would pet her quickly, but ignore her. I've never forgiven myself for ignoring her. She died by her 2nd year. While at the vets, they kept her overnight in a room that was too cold.

Louie passed away in August 2015, not sure what happened really, but it was a bad scene.
