Guess This Photo No 1

did a post about guess the photo, I thought this was a good idea and here is my attempt to fool you, ok not fool you but challenge you to guess what the subject of the photo.

.

I have made it easy as this is my first attempt and hope you can have a go and at least try, who cares what you think it is, I mean don't worry if you think it is a fur coat or something, now there's a clue.

.

I have almost a million photo's in my collection so I could go on for about five years just doing this type of article, but that would be boring wouldn't it. I think the person who gets it right first has to take on this challenge, if they need a photo or want advice on how to upload a photo just let me know and I will send you one as long as I have your email to give you it of course. If not that's ok too, you can nominate me to do another one emoticon

.

What is in the photo?

.

Just a bit of fun happy Perpapers

Is it a swan's neck. A young one or a wading bird - something with a long neck

maxeen wrote on January 8, 2015, 4:40 PM

Oh you are kidding us ,Swan ? Why should I say swan ?

Dustin4ever wrote on January 8, 2015, 4:50 PM

Has to be a swan and the beautiful white neck perhaps.

GedWrites wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:05 PM

Yes a swan it is and an easy first one emoticon

GedWrites wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:06 PM

Because it is a swan haha , well done on this easy first one Max

catsholiday wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:06 PM

I have just copied your idea and posted a guess the photo!

GedWrites wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:08 PM

Hi Carol, yes a swan it is of course, hope you are ok .. I await yours unless you already have done one.

Kasman wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:11 PM

catsholiday GedWrites - yeah, a swan - but what species? LOL

GedWrites wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:16 PM

Good one Mr Kasman, take it to the next level why not LOL

inkedwriter wrote on January 8, 2015, 5:36 PM

I feel like an idiot now. I was going to say a cat's tail.

Koalemos wrote on January 8, 2015, 6:20 PM

This was so obviously a swan that I found myself trying to see where the catch was and picturing something designed to appear like a swan's neck.

Telynor wrote on January 8, 2015, 7:48 PM

A swan's neck, or a cat's tale that is damp.

BodieMor wrote on January 8, 2015, 10:58 PM

I thought it was a cat's tail also... I'm just not good at this, lol.

BarbRad wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:40 AM

Looks like a live cat tail to me. Might also be the tail of another animal. But cat is my first choice.

BarbRad wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:41 AM

Please don't. That was also my first choice. I was going to add a bird's neck as my second choice, but like an idiot left it off.

I wish i was good in guessing what things are. am very poor at guessing

agvulpes wrote on January 9, 2015, 4:03 AM

Well done catsholiday great guess emoticon  I took a guess before I read the comments and my guess was a 'ducks' neck ! As the say 'Close but no Kewpie doll' :)

Quinbe wrote on January 9, 2015, 11:56 AM

I thought it was a swan as well , but i see hundreds have beaten me to the answer - if you got too close you might have got pecked! The are good watch-dogs-swans

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:29 PM

That will be in my next offering, it will definitely be more difficult .. cheers Barry

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:30 PM

I thought it looked a bit like a cats tail however it is easy to see it is a swan emoticon

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:33 PM

No probs, the next one will be more difficult, I also thought it looked a bit like a cats tail, maybe I shouldn't give the answer out so soon. I could have then said it was a cats tail and had everybody scratching their heads

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:34 PM

haha the next one will be more difficult, good luck emoticon

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:35 PM

Almost.. it as you know now a swan, the next one you will definitely get I'm sure

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:36 PM

I think you should have a guess you never know you might just be right emoticon

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:39 PM

Well done good try it could well have been a ducks neck. That has given me an idea, I might change the size of the pic, make it wider or longer to make it harder

GedWrites wrote on January 9, 2015, 12:40 PM

I know I have seen one take on a dog before and the dog ran away very quickly.

JustEm wrote on January 9, 2015, 5:01 PM

Awww Ged, a swan is an easy one emoticon

soupdragon wrote on January 9, 2015, 5:03 PM

Bernie Clifton's Ostrich? (Showing my age here, I fear)

NorthernLight wrote on January 9, 2015, 5:17 PM

Looks like a bit of Geordie brass neck to me. Fancy finding you here, mara.

VinceSummers wrote on January 9, 2015, 5:31 PM

I figured it to be the neck of a swan or (less likely) a duck.

Gina145 wrote on January 9, 2015, 5:40 PM

I've already read all the comments, so I know the answer but I would also have said a cat's tail. I don't recall every seeing a swan around here. emoticon
I think I must try to write a post like this too. I just need to find the right photo.

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 7:29 AM

It could have been a cats tail or a duck like.. emoticon  or
.
How the heck did you get that Em?

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 7:35 AM

Yes I remember it well, or was it Roy Hudd and Emu, are you old enouh to remember him?

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 7:44 AM

JustEm wrote on January 10, 2015, 7:51 AM

It seems there are a lot of swans down the quarry near St Josephs.. I used to feed them every Sunday haha emoticon

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 9:59 AM

Thanks for having a go anyway, just wait until the next one, you'll like it!

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 10:00 AM

I am sure you would come up with some good ones, have a go!

GedWrites wrote on January 10, 2015, 11:29 AM

I seen one of those swans chase a dog once, they are aggressive creatures sometimes.
