I'm Just showing off now :D

Now I know I may have been boring half of you to death by droning on about the world I am building for my nieces. but I have said a couple of times now that I will share some pictures so if your allergic to gaming posts I recommend a good hearty dose of antihistamines or a speedy exit.

For those of you who don't know minecraft is a sandbox game you have to survive in the world generated using the resources available by farming, mining etc you have everything from wood to obsidian it's just living long enough to find it that's the hard part. My favorite aspect of the game is building and decorating as you do have to challenge yourself to be creative and use the materials imaginatively. The lap top you can see in the first picture was made using an item frame and a piece of rail track.

Here is the farm house I finished last night with the roof I excitedly whittered on about in this mornings musing

(And now I'm looking at the picture I can see I'm going to have to make a small tweak to the front of that gable and change a window and wrap the dark strip over the front door. grrr that's going to bug me until i can get on to fix it)

Well that's enough for now but i'm chuffed the Teen showed me how to take these pictures I'll try not to bore you all with them too much.

This was one of my youngest sons favorite games for a really long time. He used to kill these block zombies it was so weird and hard for me to understand. He would just run around building things all the time, it made me dizzy!

Well I know nothing about this game, but I do like how your farm house looks :)

My son played Minecraft for a while, but I could never figure the bloody thing out.

looks nice - a bit like two dimensional Lego - not game I'd play myself

I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the game but it does look good!

I have never tried Minecraft but I must admit, it does look kinda cool to play? Is it similar to The Sims?

Vickiw wrote on January 8, 2015, 1:36 PM

Gosh, I ve heard about it, but never tried it. Actually I can honestly say I've never played an online game, as my computer time is very limited. I just have too many other things to do.

I know nothing about this game at all but sounds good.

I've never played minecraft but a while back I really loved the game zoo tycoon where you build and manage your own zoo. I put lots of hours into that game and building habitats for my animals. It's really addicting. I like games where you have to build and think critically so maybe I'd like minecraft.

That is a very cool farmhouse! And I love the clouds, lol!

phoenixmaid talk about overachievers! I have heard about Minecraft, but not into it yet, but if I ever need advice I know where to get it! emoticon :winking:

That's pretty neat. I've never played the game but know people who rave about it.

It looks fun to me. I really want to play around with Landmark. The building stuff seems like it would just be so much fun. I like anything that let's me feel creative.
