One of the best presents you could ever give someone would have to be the gift of words. Novels have for generations sparked curiosity and interest amongst people of all ages. They provide entertainment, knowledge and much more :) Then the next question comes up: Which novel should I get? It is quite hard finding a book you like and many of us spend hours hunting in the library or bookstore finding novel which we like. So I decided to help all of you by telling you some great novells which I am certain you won't regret buying. So here they are: 7 great novels which you should buy

7. The Percy Jackson Series

I know this series is kind of old and gained fame years back, but till this day, it leaves a mark on me and I can still remember the thrill I got out of the fights and the surprises and really educated me on the various Greek Gods. If you are into mythology, this will be a good read.

6. Life of Pi

This book is a really touching story and very entertaining. The sudden twist at the end was really worth reading through the entire 400 pages. Really a good way to waste your time though

5. Friedrich

This novel is the least famous amongst all of the books mentioned here but really gives a us a good taste of the history of Germany. The style of writing really evokes sympathy for the characters in the novel and at the end of the novel, you will be yearning for more.

4. The Twilight series

The movie has many mixed views and now with the movies released, it is hard to find someone who doesn't know what the series is about. Romance, passion and surprises. If those are what you look for, pick up the first book and begin your adventure...

3. The Perks of being a Wallflower

The life of a teenager summarized into 100+ pages of diary entries will really give you something which all you introverts can relate to. Friendship and love are major theme in this story and is a novel I think everyone can learn from

2. The Mortal Instruments

When an average girl is suddenly plunged into a world of creatures she once thought were mythical, she is in for a real adventure, and so are you! Drama, suspense and passion. That's what this series is about. You will be all to enjoy the romance alongside thrill and adventure. A great experience

1. Harry Potter series

Yes. This is the winner and tops the list, though by a small margin. It is the storyline that has captivated all audience for close to 2 decades and since then, the world has never been the same again. Despite being a wizard, the main character goes through many difficulties which students can relate to such as peer pressure, the desire to fit in and conflict. And yet, with the help of his friends (as usual), he can overcome all the odds and at the end of the 7 fascinating books, he emerges victorious. A must read for everyone.

So there you have it, the 7 best books that I have read so far. These are my opinions though, so please ensure that you do like the book before buying it. But don't let my suggestions restrict your book selection because there are many great fiction books out there I have yet to discover.

I read a lot of books, and have read some of these. I tend to lean towards the classics. And older authors, I guess it is my age. But I do enjoy a good History fiction.

I tend to like thrillers and investment books, but I will not buy books as they are very costly.

The Twilight series? These books don't have the broad appeal that such a list would imply. Just my humble opinion.

You must be young. These series (maybe you should listed it as the best series of all time.) I have grandkids so I do stay in touch what they are reading. None of them like the Percy Jackson series, they all love the Potter series, only one likes the Twilight series. You might try the Divergent series.

On your list, I have read only two - Harry Potter series (only up to The Half Blood Prince) and The Perks of being a Wallflower. I would love to read The Life of Pi since I had fun watching it's film adaptation.
