The best places in the world to travel

Since the beginning of time, human beings have loved to travel around the world and discover new lands and in this day and era, traveling is more widespread than ever. With such a variety of places to choose from, how can we ever decide? So today, I have decided to write this article to express my opinion of where I think, the best places in the world to travel are.
Now, before I start I would like to say that I am not that widely traveled and this list just comprises of the places I have been to. Also, my criteria of what a good place to visit is may differ from yours. So without further ado, here we go:

5. Bali Island

Attracting roughly 4 million people on a yearly basis, this tropical island getaway features all sorts of beach activities. Get yourself a nice villa and the place will become the paradise you have always dreamed of!

4. Christchurch, New Zealand

This place is a mixture of tranquility and beauty. With a cool temperate climate all year round and so many beautiful lakes and forests a short ride away, this a place is simply breathtaking. You could even take a trip down south and take in the view of the various fjords.

3. Bangkok

Culture and an authentic Asian experience. If that's what you like, this is where you need to go. Delicious Thai food, meeting real life elephants and discovering more about the history of the only South East Asian country which was never under a European colonial power are some of the things that await you in Thailand's capital.

2. Mumbai

India is a land of contradiction; experience it first hand in the nation's largest city. You can choose to live the life of a King and indulge in fine dining at luxury 5-star boutique or you can choose to eat street food and stay at a backpackers' hostel. India has anything that you want, and more.

1. Melbourne, Australia

Trams, coffee, cool weather, friendly people: What more could you ask for? This place tops the chart by far. A mixture of liberty and culture, this beautiful city sitting by Port Phillip, is the jewel of Australia, in my opinion. Having one of the highest quality of living in the world and scenery that would take your breath away, it is truly heaven on earth.
