Neater Tagging on the PP Pages

I have used tags on various blogs, web pages and social networking sites. The ones here on Persona pages are among the best I have come across.

Why? Because they don’t keep the tagging instruction hashtags or And-signs on display. On Bubblews tagging a name works exactly the same; you add a & and put a user name right next to it exactly as spelt, but in highlighting it, the & is still visible too, as if it was the first letter of the user name. Here, the & vanishes leaving the name tagged and hyperlinked just as it is – Witchcraft! Example JustEm . Similarly with tagged words created with a # as on Twitter, but even there the # stays visible.

The PP version is much cleaner to use.

I, too, like the neatness of tagging here on Persona Paper. To my reading eye and mind, those extraneous symbols detract from the cleanness of the text.

I haven't found out how to tag on this site yet. I must read up on it!

I agree it is a much cleaner look on the page. When tags are inserted in text it is easy to read.

Wish I understood it all but I don't.

Not just the tags but here we navigate smoothly with so many added features. I like particularly the 'restore cache' option.

I've always appreciated that. A tag fits write into the article instead of detracting from it.

This may e rather obtuse of me, I have no idea how to tag a member here.

Yeah I have to remember to tag my posts. Forget the first couple.

Makes it much easier to include tags in the general flow of a post, doesn't it? I tend to tag mine with my copyright tag at the bottom, like you did with FOPP, but otherwise, most of them are just in the piece itself.

Noticed this too. It does look neater though I also don't mind the other ways of tagging.

To tag someone, you use the & before the person's username, like this - Vivenda . To tag keywords, you use the # and add it before the word you want to tag, like this . Hope this helped.

To tag someone here, just add the & before the person's username, like this - Koalemos . Hope this helped.

This actually confuses me further because the ampersand in your comment is nowhere my name yet I still got a message that you had tagged me.

Vivenda wrote on January 8, 2015, 3:30 PM

Thanks for the info - I shall try it next time I write a post!

BodieMor wrote on January 9, 2015, 2:26 AM

I noticed that too. Cleans things up in a nice way!

The & disappears when you submit the comment or the article. Just add the & before the username. When you submit the comment or the article, you will see the name being tagged but the & will no longer be there. This is just the way Persona Paper tags work. Try it and see for yourself Koalemos emoticon
