Bout Of Books Readathon Day 2 Progress Update

So a few months ago, I decided to participate in a readathon called boutofbooks . This particular blog has been around for years hosting readathons. I've seen other friends talking about it on Twitter before, so I decided to try it out . That was a while back and I really enjoyed it so yesterday I started a second one. this one goes for a week (January 5-11). The main activity of the event is of course reading but they also host daily mini challenges and sporadic Twitter chats. I read all the time already so I see it as more of a social event. It's really fun.
Yesterday was day two, so wanted to post my progress towards my goals so far.
First Goal: Read and Review Three Books
Progress: On day two I read 38 pages, bringing my total for the week to 77. I know that's quite pitiful considering some people read 500 on day one alone. I've been sort of busy though. I find myself only able to read late at night when everyone is sleeping. I just finished one book today called A Radiant Sky by Jocelyn Davies. It's the third book in the Beautiful Dark Trilogy so I will be posting a review, as soon as the ending resonates .
Second Goal: Friend 25 New Bookish Friends
Progress: Well on day one I went overboard on the social and I do 12 people to my feedly. So today I didn't focus on it much. I will probably have 25 well before Sunday though. Last time I looked there were over 600 people participating.
Third Goal: Complete Five Mini Challenges
Progress: Well I didn't really focus on this much either. The prompt was awesome but I'm severely lacking in imagination so I couldn't think of anything to write. The day three challenge looks pretty good though and I did do one challenge on Monday.
Fourth Goal: Participate in One Twitter Chat
Progress: Yay I completed this already on day one. We have another chat on Wednesday and the last chat on Saturday. I may participate just for fun, if time permits .
Fifth Goal: Update Every Day
Progress: I'm definitely staying on track with this one . It's easy to post how my reading went and to update my goals.
Well I guess that about wraps up my update. On day three, I will be starting a new novella called Burning Girls. It's about witches in Poland and I think I read something about a fairytale retelling but I'm not really sure yet.

You seem to be doing pretty well, but I lack the time and patience to get into anything like that these days

Good for you. I have to read and exercise at the same time or I have time for neither!

Ahhh. Thats not a bad idea actually. My usual method of "reading" is using the read aloud tts on Google books... So that might pair nicely with reading. :)

Wish I had the time to spare. As of now I read via Kindle or iBooks on my iPhone in bed at night so as not to awaken my husband with lamps or or the light from bigger screens.
