Diary – Tuesday 6th January 2014

I went to the shops for my mum, and discovered that she won a small prize in the lottery – just enough to cover the cost of her next set of lottery tickets, which is nice.

It was very cloudy out but I just made it home before the rain started. The rest of the day was spent online, and I slept quite a lot too.

The Christmas decorations are down and mothballed for the year. The shops have already replaced Christmas cards with Valentine Cards, no doubt with Easter cards waiting in the wings for February 15th.

I booked a place for the 2015 Eastercon SF convention in London, in April. I just need to sort out hotel accommodation there now.

Nice that your mum won for her next go around. And everything else seem normal.

Congrats to your mom for winning the lottery. Even if it might just be a small prize, at least she still won.

I do wish the hype for coming events didn´t start months in advance, it makes the event an anticlimax when it arrives.

My mother has a few modest wins on the lottery. I'm sure each week she expects to win the jackpot though. I never do it, myself

Haven't been to a Science Fiction Convention in years. And I once loved attending Comicon. Now, in our area, it's almost impossible to get tickets, they have become so popular, especially the latter.
