My daughter got a bad crack on the head yesterday

My daughter, Kim, was cleaning out the shower in her and her husband’s bathroom and when she stood up from scrubbing that bubble stuff you clean with, she cracked her head a good one. The fumes were getting to her and she just wanted to get out a minute to be able to breathe without having that burning feeling in her throat.

Well, I was here making a post and I thought I heard her whimpering and crying but I couldn’t really tell for sure. I kept hollering ‘are you alright’ and no answer. I said it again and no answer so I got up and went to her room and she was all bent over holding her head and crying.

It wasn’t long ago that she fainted, about three weeks ago and got a bad concussion that she still wasn’t over and having to see the doctor every week for that and her eating habits. She is pretty much okay now. She said even though it hurt really bad it wasn’t like it was when she got the concussion.

Oh my gosh, that must have been scary for you, and her too! I've hit my head a few times myself and it can be very disorienting. Have her take it easy for a while.

My goodness, that is terrible. I hope that she does not suffer long time injury to her head.

Oh my god! wish her a speedy recovery... It hurts a lot especially in winter season... pain doesn't seem to go...

Ouch, I know I have hit my head when I'm in a hurry (and I tihnk the last time I was also cleaning the bathroom) but not that hard. I hope she is okay, maybe you should keep an eye on her for a while.

Ouch! This reminds me of the book A Boy Called "It". Where the boy is cleaning the bathroom and all the vents, doors, etc. are closed. Poor kid! Hope she is okay..

She seems to be doing okay now. She said her head is still sore. She goes back to the doctor next week I think. Yes I was scared since she had already cracked her head a good one when she fainted about 3 weeks ago. She hit so hard that she moved the big screen TV askew just a little bit and that thing is horribly heavy. It took two men to bring that TV into the house. It's one of the first ones that came in two parts. The bottom and the top and both are very heavy and she moved it from the force of her fall.

Not this time, but I'm still concerned for the last time when she fainted and hit the big screen TV. The thing looks like it weighs 800 pounds, but I don't know if it does or not. She hit that thing so hard when she fainted that she moved that thing about an inch askew on the carpet. She is seeing the doctor every week for that, plus she is seeing her for her eating too.

I'm not good with pain, and she is fairly good with it. She has to really be hurt to complain. This time she hit a different part of her head. If she had hit the part that she had hit before with the concussion, that might have been bad.

Yes LadyDUck, she does feel better. She and her hubby went out on a little date together and then brought me home some supper from Dairy Queen. She is still tender but not in pain.

Yes she is okay now. Thanks. I was worried about her and watched her for signs of a concussion but there were no symptoms.

Hi Carmie! I did keep watch on her. I sat with her and gave her something for pain and when she started to relax and get drowsy I said that I was coming in here to work and to give my phone a ring if she needs me.

Hi Celticeagle! I am glad to see you here. I don't know that book. But yes, those fumes can get to you. She is like me but not as bad. I can't even stand perfume or hair spray. When she wears perfume and she comes in my room and have to tell her to step back because I will start choking up. She is okay now.

You were a nurse, right? so I am sure she is in good hands.
