Diary – Monday 5th January 2014

Twelfth Day / Twelfth Night, with the day being quite mundane for me. I rarely left my room where I job searched and wrote up various articles.

The evening was much more interesting as I headed to a city centre bar, The Seven Stars in Manchester’s Printworks entertainment complex to meet and drink with some friends.

I thought they were late arriving at first but they had arrived and headed upstairs without us noticing each other. We passed the night away with quiet civilized conversation until last bus home time.

The Christmas lights were on for the last time before the next F-list celebrity switch on ceremony (probably in October) but I barely noticed them – they might as well have already been out for days.

Today is the 12th day of Christmas, the celebrations are over until the next year. Finally the decorations are taken down.

I'm shooting for Orthodox New Year in terms of both our indoor and outdoor decorations. Hanging on to the festive twinkling till the bitter end.
