Enjoying The Winter Days

Even though we're having a mild winter so far, I'm still enjoying the season. We had a very hot summer this past year and it's been nice to just sit back and feel warm and cozy. (As I've always said, when you are hot you cannot get cool, but when you are cold you can get warm)

We recently had renovations done on our house, and even though they screwed up on a lot of things (and still have to come back and fix some) I think one of the best things they managed to get right was finally getting our central air and heating working again. When we moved into this house in 2009 it worked for about 3 days before busting down- our landlord came out twice to fix it, and the third time when he sent someone else, it caught on fire. Thus, we went the last few years only having space heaters and the fireplace for heat during the winter, while trying to stay cool with window units in the summer. No fun at all!

It's so nice to not be cold. I'm hoping we'll get at least one snowfall this winter though, since I grew up in the north and really miss it. Last year we got 2 snowfalls, so I really hope to at least see a little bit of white on the ground this time around!

Winter season has its charm too. I like to watch snow or rain through the window from my warm room.

I think that's one of the best parts about winter- the scenery. There's nothing better than having a warm cup of cocoa/coffee/tea when it's cold outside and getting to watch from afar : )

Well even if you only get 1 snowfall you can always feel better knowing that it doesn't snow in south Florida. hahaha Still I hope that you'll get your wish for some nice snowy days.

Haha sometimes I think about how close we came to moving to Florida and am thankful we ended up somewhere with a tiny bit of snowfall at least

But... But Florida is awesome. ;__; You're missing out you know. You could have... uh... um... Nope... I honestly don't know what is good about Florida other than the architecture, flat land, and quietness.

You've got the ocean! The first (and last) time I went to the ocean in Florida I sprained my foot on the way down and didn't even get to go in the water hahaha

It's a mild winter compared to last year. Last winter was a little too extreme with so many weeks of extreme cold. I like it the way it is right now.

I may live by the ocean, but we rarely go there. hahaha I also never go into the water. I'm too self loathing to wear a bathing suit.

I, too, would love a nice snowy day. Of course this is the first year in many that I don't have to get up at 3:00 a.m. to be at work. Wouldn't it figure that this year we have not had a flake of snow? Enjoy your day.

Funny how things like that work isn't it? I myself have the transportation now to go where it snows more often than here in town, but still nothing!

It is nearly a year later, and this late fall , nearly first day of winter, weather has been unseasonably warm and not December like at all.
