Downton Abbey Season 5 Starts Tonight and I Can't Wait.
Is anyone else irrationally excited for the premiere of Downton Abbey Season 5 tonight? When the show first began to air here in the U.S., I did not watch. It wasn't until I read so many rave reviews that I had to see what all the hype was about. I binge watched the first two seasons on Netflix or Amazon Video (can't remember which) and I was hooked. I watched seasons 3 and 4 as they aired, and I still enjoy this show very much. I can't wait to see if Lady Mary will add more men to her long list of suitors. I hope that Edith will finally find happiness or, at the very least, catch a break. Honestly, how much can one woman suffer?
I would love to see a romance between Carson and Mrs. Hughes. I want to see more of the friendship between Isobel and Violet. Violet's lines are always priceless. And, of course, there are the clothes. I love to see all the beautiful fashions from the 1920s. I hope that season 5 will be a great one. I can't wait to get started.

I am a huge fan of Downtown Abbey. I love anything English. The filming, costumes and scenery and acting are all magnificent. Can't wait for tonight to see it either.

I love the natural scenery, too. And that house is gorgeous. I can't imagine what it must be like to film in that beautiful home. I hope this season will be great.

This is the second post I've read today about Season 5 starting! I love all the same things you've mentioned. It is quite the soap opera plus the incredible costumes, locations and history. And very good writing!
