Author of Last Post in 2014

Ok, so some of you guys might still wonder who actually posted the very last article here at Persona Paper in 2014.

After a very well thought out plan based mainly on the site upgrade/change executed by elitecodex on December 31st, our good friend in India Bestwriter thought she was going to be the author of that coveted last post. However the upgrade took a little over two hours (started at 9 PM), at around 11 PM Dec 31st Persona Paper was back online, and a matter of minutes the posts started to appear.

Proudly representing US members madcanman submitted Yeah, One Last New Year's Post at 11:39 PM admitting he was too tired after a long year, and could no longer fight for the title. Then bestwriter launched another better timed effort at 11:54 PM entitled Some more resolutions for 2015 , but fell short for a couple of minutes.

As I had expected from our friends in The Philippines, it was RegieEstioco who at 11:57 PM December 31st submitted his master piece PersonaPaper fulfills its promise forever getting the bragging rights to say he is the Author of the Last Post at Persona Paper in 2014 .

So there you have it, congrats RegieEstioco and a valiant effort on BestWriter 's part.

Wishing everyone an excellent 2015 and let’s make this site the best revenue sharing community there is.

PS. And if you are wondering who posted first in 2015, you need to ask luisga814 , I know the answer but he was the one who started that thread so I won’t reveal it.

I am not aware that my post entitled "PersonaPaper fulfills its promise" made it as the last article posted for 2014. LOL.

I am going to read the last post of the year 2014, thanks for letting us know the name of the winner.

I haven't posted on the last day of the year 2014 lool

I guess it would depend on your timezone as by the time these posts were posted, I was already in 2015. I admit I have no idea what the last post of 2014 was for me, as I wasn't online at the time I was too busy watching the Hogmanay (New year's eve) celebrations on the tv.

melody23 I know due to the time zone difference you guys in Europe were out of the question. I expected someone from the Philippines to be the author, and I was right! emoticon :winking:

I did not post that day either but did a lot of reading and commenting

fufurinha wrote on January 2, 2015, 10:54 AM

I didn't had time to spend on persona paper on that day.

Glad to see you here, I hope you are succesful here.

nbaquero wrote on January 2, 2015, 11:02 AM

Imagine, would you ever be part of Persona Paper's history? Congratulations!

seren3 wrote on January 2, 2015, 12:05 PM

History in the making! I'm glad you followed up on this, it's fun to see the results!

nbaquero wrote on January 2, 2015, 12:57 PM

Thanks! This was easy to determine just keeping an eye on the timestamps. It was fun too.

Congratulations, RegieEstioco I was also in the running, but when the site was closed I started a book and didn't want to keep checking. What I wanted to post required the gallery for my additional photos and that didn't come up for a couple of hours after the site came back up.

I must admit I was a bit curious to find out who is the author of the last post in 2014. Thanks for info.

Congratulations to RegieEstioco and runner-up bestwriter !

I blame it on my inability to know the timings followed by Persona. I went by EST. Was I wrong? While the winner says he did not work towards it, I did. emoticon

bestwriter wrote on January 2, 2015, 7:21 PM

Congrats. But I am entitled to cry right?

bestwriter wrote on January 2, 2015, 7:27 PM

Thank Feisty. I was aware of this challenge and was making attempts. I was following a wrong time zone apparently.

This reminds me of the Chinese who go to the temples on the eve of Chinese New Year. They want to be among the first to offer incense to the deities.

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:24 AM

Good effort on your part, it was fun to see several people trying to be the one author of that last post.

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:25 AM

In spite of that you came pretty close. Good job!

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:26 AM

It is EST, you jus got beaten up by mere 3 minutes. Pretty close race. emoticon :winking:

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:27 AM

It was only fair to reveal it, after I had written that first post.

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:28 AM

Interesting scheng1 I did not know that. Thanks for sharing. They celebrate Chinese New Year in February, right?

nbaquero wrote on January 3, 2015, 8:29 AM

feisty56 even though it was not a formal challenge or anything, it was fun.
