I need some ideas, anyone have any?

So I have been absent for quite sometime from here which I did not intend on doing. But it would seem that since my last post here, my work has been moving me into a whole new realm of the IT world. I still deal with the typical help desk calls, but I am only getting a handful a day. Thankfully most of the ones I deal with are quite easy or above my paygrade, which means I need to hand it off to someone else.

The "personal research" has been great also. I have been given a lot of information regarding ( Amazon Web Services ) that my work relies on, so I should write more about those. I have also been playing with C# and it has been a blast. I have not yet written anything useful yet, but I am working on it.

Now I just need a great idea. Some sort of simple utility that everyone could use, that a beginner can practice on. Anyone have any ideas?

You mean to say that you need to practice C# ? If so use MS Visual Studio. That's really good tool for practicing c# for beginners :)

It is my first day here so I am not really of much use, I am sorry. But I hope you have a great day

I know very little about any of that stuff so anything simple for a beginner would be welcome. I want to learn more but these things seem to be over my head.

I am looking for a countdown timer at present. On the timer theme, it can be useful for writers to just write for 60 seconds, or some other time, nonstop. A timer for that might be useful. What about an interactive goals list? No idea how hard or easy they would be.

HAHA Yeah I already have that installed. I am only using the community edition for the time being but I am more so looking for ideas on something to program that can be semi-useful. I am still new at C# and looking to practice.

That works :)

Oh I am not worried about ideas for writing... I was looking for some programming ideas. I am new to the world of programming and wanted to get my feet wet with a legitimate program... something easy but still semi-useful to the world.

Thanks you too... just started following you also :)

I am actually surprised that it is clicking with me. I have minimal web page knowledge but knowing a little Javascript has helped alot. Well, not a lot but enough.

Hmm... you know that isn't a bad idea. You could use it to write, and maybe even post it here while doing it. Of course it would have to be a simple text editor, not the fancy stuff they do here.

I can hardly comprehend what you've said. I'm not a techie. What is Amazon Web Services?

If you are asking for programming ideas, then start from the scratch. If you know all the basics, try googling programming problems in C#. I hope it helps you. :)
