To Like Or To Like?
Dear friends, I am sorry but I have to write this one. It will be my first and last on the topic, I promise you.
I have a hunch that my article over there will disappear soon so I made a backup of it. I am posting the link here if you feel like checking it.
It is about a very strange usage of the action 'to like an article'. There is this official post telling the users of the system that their pay outs are being deleted and cut. And what is their response? They liked the article. How ... what? I can't find the word for it.
To add to it the comments under this article are blocked so you can't even voice your opinion.
OK, I know that we are not living in a democracy but I always thought that pretending to be in a democracy is of vital importance. I guess I was wrong on this one too :)
Better and better. Bong!

By publishing the post you link to Bubble Ooze have shot themselves in the foot and have shown that they really don't value their members. I now predict a mass exodus from that site - have you seen the number of ex-bubblers who have appeared on Persona Paper in the last week? The more the merrier!
Oceanblue wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:00 PM
Hi, this is my only second day here so I am still finding my way around. I am also a Bubbler looking for a nice place to add my photos and stories. Hope all works out.

I thought about the same thing when I read that post on Bubblews. What exactly do those members like about the post? The fact that they aren't going to get paid? The lack of respect for their work and the time they spent on the site? That is just so strange

There are people writing posts thanking them for the update. There are people who think that if they are all bubbly and act like little cheerleaders, that somehow they will be treated better. I don't know who liked it, maybe it was just an automatic thing, they just automatically clicked like?

I am shattered trying to keep up with the new ones here..
maxeen wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:34 PM
People should just get some pride and stop cow-towing to bubbles.
Lemark wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:37 PM
More that 300 of them clicked on like automatically? Well, this has to be the only logical solution. However illogical it sounds
I am afraid to say it out loud but this only shows how low level the interaction there really is.
OK, enough grunting and back to real stuff - writing articles with some structure and meaning :)
Lemark wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:37 PM
Exactly.

There were many shots in their collective feet in recent months. I feel sorry for all the people who really depended on being paid for their writing. And for their families...
Lemark wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:40 PM
The more the merrier :) The life happens in waves and it seems that all recent storms have brought survivors here.
Graceful landing to everybody :)

Dear Oceanblue , welcome to Persona Paper and have a great stay. It will work out, you will see.
Lemark wrote on January 1, 2015, 4:59 PM
It is strange - for a lack of better - or less pleasant - word to describe it.
maxeen wrote on January 1, 2015, 5:02 PM
So terrible ,one relied on it for an invalid in care. Can you imagine the upset..
maxeen wrote on January 1, 2015, 5:04 PM
Well done anyway in airing it.People need to know stuff.

Well, it'll sure be interesting to see how far the crap flies that hit the fan last night. I'm staying there for now, just to see what happens, and also to make sure I get copies of my favorite posts off there before the site shutters.
Lemark wrote on January 1, 2015, 6:15 PM
A wise thing to do indeed. Make copies of all your posts. You just might get the chance to recycle them...

I didn't 'like' it but I wonder if bubblers pressed the like button to acknowledge they'd read it and were grateful for a little bit of admin information. Remember, the admin there are few and far between in speaking to us minions, lol. Not like over here, it's so friendly!
BarbRad wrote on January 2, 2015, 2:22 AM
I make copies of anything I post anywhere before I post them so I can paste them in to the forms on the sites. You just never know when something will happen to a site or when the site will eat your post before it gets posted.
BarbRad wrote on January 2, 2015, 2:23 AM
I do feel really bad for those that have been depending on the site for living expenses and necessities.
nbaquero wrote on January 2, 2015, 5:02 AM
Lemark right, what are those 300+ people thinking? How can you like a slap in the face?
Anyway, focusing on the important stuff, I am looking forward to the increased activity at Persona Paper.
Lemark wrote on January 2, 2015, 5:35 AM
You might be right but I still don't get it. To be grateful for a bad news...
Lemark wrote on January 2, 2015, 5:43 AM
The activity here is already increasing. There is an influx of new members. I will also actively promote PP over there. I don't care about the consequences :)
