White Winter Run - Finally

White winter is finally here. Today it has been snowing from midday. A beautiful dry snow is gently falling all the time and it will continue to fall until tomorrow afternoon.

The snow was longed for and eagerly awaited. We were out today all day having fun in the snow. We were walking in the snow for several hours to the top of the local hill. In the evening we took another walk to enjoy snow in the streets and feast our eyes on all the colorful festive decorations.

Our kids had great fun. They were yelling, singing "Snow, snow!", playing all the time. They were wet all over but didn't care.

Just before midnight it was time for me to go out and run a few kilometers in a fresh snow. It felt great. The sound of soft crackling under your footsteps, the gentle needly touch of snowflakes in your eyes, the melting of these on your face. So precious. Wonderful.

I can hardly wait on tomorrow morning. I'l go for a doggy run over snowy meadows. So good.

Better and better. Bong!

Lemark I used to go for runs at night, but never close to midnight and much less in the snow, it must be a great experience!

I love winter but sad to say I am here in the Philippines. No snow at all. Anyway, if I have a budget. Someday, I will push to go to your country. Advance Happy New Year.

I think that is the most positive thing I've read about snow this season. You have portrayed the delight your family took in it.

I am glad you enjoy the snow. I am not fond of it these days.

A moonlit walk up a snowy hill is a delight for me in Scotland. The snow is here but I haven't had a chance to get out yet. Maybe sometime this week.
