My first Persona Paper Article

Greetings and salutations to everyone here at persona papers! I am new here on this site. I heard about this site while eavesdropping on a conversation on Facebook. LOL!

I feel I should introduce myself in this first article.

Well, my name is Shauna. I am 31 years old, and I live in Connecticut in the United States. I am a writer by nature. At this point, I don't work an outside job due to a severe case of spinal stenosis. I'm actually having a spinal fusion on Tuesday to help allieviate the severe pain that I have been feeling for the past year and a half. Of course I would find this site less than two days before my surgery. Talk about funny timing, eh?

Anyways, when not dealing with back issues, I love to read, watch TV, listen to music, hang out with friends, enjoy life with my boyfriend, and write. I write for various websites, including my private blog. I also have a book out, but it didn't do very well. It was kind of like when you go to make pancakes, and the first one you finish making ends up being the one you completely screw up and throw out. I'm pretty sure the book I'm currently working on will be awesome, at least that's what I'm telling myself, ha!

Anyways, I hope everyone has a great day/night, and I will see you all in the morning. Again, I am so happy to have found this site, and cannot wait to become more active.

A spinal fusion doesn't sound fun. Sorry you have to go through that. Welcome to the site though, and I hope you like it here!

Welcome to the site, hope the surgery goes well and is helpful, nothing like back pain.

Welcome to PP. It's cool that you found this site just when you have time to write and it's a great community already. I am impressed that you are onto your second book. Wish I had that kind of determination.

Thank you, MaeLou. The Spinal Fusion won't be much fun, but, from what I hear, it will be worth it in the end. At least, that's what I hope.

It's been terrible, Benson32. Not working, and not being active has definitely taken its toll on my ego, but, in a way, it's also made me reflect on a lot of things. I've always been this go-getter and busy-body. I definitely need to slow down. I'm only 31, and I'm too young to be putting my body through this much stress.

I found this site by accident, but, I'm glad that I found it. Like a lot of people on here, I am a member on Bubblews too, but, I like to expand my horizons, and I have heard great things about this new site. I cannot believe all the things this site has, and it's only, like, a month or so old. I love the emoticons and the character counts. It's awesome!
As far as the second book is concerned, I am hoping to have it done by the end of the summer. With my surgery, the book is going to take much longer than I would like. Only because I am expecting to be out of commission for the next 3 weeks, as of tomorrow (due to being on heavy painkillers). Of course, this could all change, depending on how I react to the surgery.
