What Have I Done?

My sister in law asked me if I would be able to watch 2 of her 4 children while she and her husband went on a cruise. I said I would be able to do it if they could not find anyone else. Well, the person that they did find (a 14 year old) failed some classes and has to take summer school. My mother in law just made the 10 hour round trip to drop off the kids.

What have I done? I now have a 1 year old, a 2 year old, a 6 year old and a 7 year old, all in an 800 square foot apartment with no yard. I see many trips to the park in our future =) The 2 year old and 6 year old are mine, and I am not really sure what I am going to do with two babies for 2 weeks. They are currently fighting over blocks and the 1 year old is winning. My 2 year old is not used to other babies and seems to take it very personally and cries every time the baby takes somthing from him. I hope I survive this. Wish me luck =D

I don't think I'd want a 14 year old watching my kids while I was on a cruise.. that seems really young for a full time babysitting gig,

Hang in there! I bet the 1 and 2 year old are a handful right now too!

:) I think I had a nightmare like that once, I wish you all the luck in the world to make it though this.

Oh goodness, sounds like my house every day! Lol. I have lots of kids here every day to watch. The ages are 11 months, 4 years, 5 yrs, 6 yrs and 8 years old. Mine are the 3 older ones.
I hope you survive the week!

I absolutely agree with you MaeLou I was thinking the exact same thing! That teenager would panic if something went wrong-that is just crazy to trust a young child to watch young kids.

I hope it all went well for you. I personally would not say yes to anybody for me to watch their small kids for two weeks. That is why I wont become friends with anyone who has small kids because I have a fear of them trying to ask me to watch their kids. If someone only wants to be my friend so I can be their baby sitter, that is not a true friend.
