To Bubble or Not to Bubble?

My clock has run down. The month has elapsed, and I've had no news about the last Bubblews redemption I requested. (Not that they have to pay me today – they said up to 60 days, after all. But I had heard several others saying they were paid around day 30.)

But I had hoped at least that I'd reach $50, and be able to request a redemption today. My bank is hovering a short way from the $40-mark and has barely moved in days regardless of how much I post. I think maybe this is the end for me.

When the site was more profitable, it was worth my while to spend the extra time interacting there. But since the admin have been actively discouraging people from thinking of Bubblews as anything even resembling a job, and since they've lowered the earnings drastically, I can't afford to spend that time chatting – or even posting there - when I could be writing for a site or a client who does consider it work and who is willing to remunerate me fairly for my skill and labour.

I posted twice there today, for a grand total of 45 likes and 13 comments. I earned a whopping 71 cents! I can remember not so long ago knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt that publishing a single post would drive the bank balance up by that amount or more in mere minutes. I wouldn't even post the next one until I'd earn $2. And I could easily make $50 in a week.

Now I fall short of that amount, even after 30 days.

I've been staying on because I still was earning there. And it was still paying me better than my other revenue sharing sites. But if I put the same effort into Persona Paper I'd probably earn more here – especially since I can control at least one part of my earnings by deciding how much to comment. Daily Two Cents is looking good too. I've just started there, but my earnings so far are quite good, considering I haven't connected with many people there yet.

I've also started to add more client writing – small jobs and low pay right now, but even those little jobs are paying better than Bubblews. Some a lot better.

And of course, there's Tsu. While it's not paying as well as Bubblews yet, I suppose it might do if I posted a few more kitty cats...

I wonder, should I just start posting an endless stream of good morning and good night posts on Bubblews? Maybe I'll get more traffic that way...

I have a few redemption that are more than 60 days. I just hope that I get to see some money.

paperdaisyflower7 wrote on December 14, 2014, 2:42 AM

I am still at 41+still a long way to go and my 60 mark has come and gone and no pay yet :(

Ruby3881 wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:20 AM

I've just heard from another friend that several of hers have gone beyond 80 days now - and these were I believe ones that ought to have paid at 30 days.

Ruby3881 wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:23 AM

So much for them catching up on all the payments! I do hope you hear soon, Daisy.

bestwriter wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:24 AM

Even if I had not gone there at all my earnings would just rise but now they are stuck there at 34. Let me see if I post anything whether it will rise. As you said nothing like reaching 50 and then saying adieus
I think you would do well at iwriter. They pay well. Once you reach the 'elite' status there are projects for as high as 40 plus dollars a project.

acrogodess914 wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:32 AM

for now, I will keep bubbling. I still don't see much traffic or earnings here for me to jump ship completely. I had a decent day today for the new bubblews. I earned in less than 24 hours close to $6 for 10 posts.

scheng1 wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:33 AM

I think many people have given up arguing with Bubblews team. We can only hope.

rana199426 wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:37 AM

I think you can still use this site to bring traffic to your posts on other websites :) this is how I use this too..

BrenndaMarie wrote on December 14, 2014, 5:10 AM

Things have gotten very slow over there and many loyal people have left because of problems with payments.

WordChazer wrote on December 14, 2014, 5:35 AM

You won't get any from me if you post 'good morning' and 'good night' posts. I'm doing OK on Bubblews, all things considered. It's my commuting filler because the site works well on my phone even without an app. I'm considering DailyTwoCents as well, having heard several people recommend it. Just a matter of time at the minute and with my articles and reviews being so busy right now I have barely enough time to meet those deadlines never mind adding another site to the mix.

fufurinha wrote on December 14, 2014, 6:18 AM

I still have 5 pending payments to receive from Bubblews. Do you believe I will still get that money? :/

marialy18 wrote on December 14, 2014, 6:55 AM

I am also collecting my three pending redemptions there. they are quite big.

acelawrites wrote on December 14, 2014, 6:57 AM

I am not posting there since last week. Still waiting for my four redemption claims , one of which was Sept.16. It was just a repeat of what happened to me last year (2013) when I did not get my three redemptions when the payout was still $25. DTC is a very good site.

RegieEstioco wrote on December 14, 2014, 7:50 AM

For two days, I posted 2 articles in Bubblews. It accumulated 81 likes and 1 comment combined but it only earned $0.16. Since the varied rate from one country to another was introduced in there, I became less active already.

Ellis wrote on December 14, 2014, 8:52 AM

To bubble or not to bubble is a question I've often asked myself while sitting in the bath...lol

Kasman wrote on December 14, 2014, 9:58 AM

I think that Bubble Ooze is well on the way to becoming a very 'Likeable' site! The best way to earn there now appears to be not to waste time commenting but simply to 'Like' as many articles as possible and reciprocal likes will come in thus generating income for little effort. This isn't my way of doing things but it seems to work for many people considering the number of 'Likes' we get on our posts compared to the number of 'Comments'. Like you, I am simply waiting for my next redemption and then I will be gone from that site.

kcmaice wrote on December 14, 2014, 11:19 AM

Funny Ruby3881 I found myself asking the same thing over the past month. Not knowing how many views I have on my posts coupled with the fact that I have Near Nothing for likes or comments makes me feel like a loser. I should have reached redemption at least 45 days ago yet still no where near. I think I will stick with Bing and Swagbucks and give up trying to earn with writing all together.

Kasman wrote on December 14, 2014, 3:30 PM

acrogodess914 - You seem to be one of those who is still doing reasonably well there. My last two posts have earned me a total of 35 cents so far!

Ravenmount wrote on December 14, 2014, 4:55 PM

I at least feel better knowing that no one else is having much success on bubblews any more either. I think once I hit $50 (which is taking forever) I'm cashing in and focusing on other sites for a while. The site design on bubblews is awful now and so few of my connections are even looking at my posts now, let alone liking or commenting on them, that I may as well post here instead. I still only make a few cents each week here right now, but at least people read my posts so I'm not just writing and posting for my own amusement here.

paperdaisyflower7 wrote on December 14, 2014, 6:27 PM

I am hoping at east before christmas

AngelSharum wrote on December 14, 2014, 7:18 PM

As you know, I've pretty much given up on Bubblews as well. I never made much, and now I'm at a standstill.

Feisty56 wrote on December 14, 2014, 8:50 PM

What has happened at Bubblews is sad beyond belief. I can't help but think had management stopped the cheating and spamming from the get-go, as Persona Paper has and does -- things might have gone very differently there. I certainly miss some of the folks there that I counted as friends -- they no longer post. If I knew how to contact them, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Persona Paper to them.

BarbRad wrote on December 15, 2014, 2:18 AM

I hear you. I wish the rest of my Bubblews friends would either find their way here or at least join tsu. I hate losing tough with them. I posted twice yesterday, too, and that in inself would have been worth a dollar or two or more three months ago. Instead, I've made ten cents this entire weekend. On Persona Paper, I made one post Friday and two today, and I've made nine cents there in the same time period. I'm also about ready to throw in the towel on Bubblews. I used to know I was making money on older posts, and I don't believe there's any evidence that residual income is still coming in. At least the possibility exists for that if I write evergreen articles here. And commenting payments also help earn and make interaction more fun. It's worth continuing to promote older articles here.

I was going to stick around Bubblews until my next redemption is submitted, but even though I'm almost halfway there, I have no confidence they will pay me if I am no longer submitting new work while I wait for payment. Everything there is too uncertain and too much is not put in writing. You never know where you stand. If those of us who made the money for the site stop writing, I doubt if they will last long. I'd rather put in my time here or even back at HubPages or on my blogs.

BarbRad wrote on December 15, 2014, 2:22 AM

I think our not being able to contact them is deliberate to make it harder for us to recruit them to other sites.

acrogodess914 wrote on December 15, 2014, 3:10 AM

I have bad days too where I barely make $2, but it is usually dependent on how much time I spend online during the day

Porcospino wrote on December 15, 2014, 5:31 AM

Some of my pending redemptions on Bubblews are more than 60 days old. I would love to receive the money, but I don't really think that it is going to happen. Many of my friends have similiar experiences on Bubblews and I believe that it is time to move on.

maxeen wrote on December 15, 2014, 12:07 PM

That is what I said a month ago but the money never materialised..

maxeen wrote on December 15, 2014, 12:09 PM

Haven't been there for ages ,I think I'll pop over and check it..I redeemed on October 4th before the changes--no cash

hanvanmeegerin wrote on December 15, 2014, 2:00 PM

I'm in the camp that feels that Bubblews has treated some good honest users in a shameful manner.

VinceSummers wrote on December 15, 2014, 2:09 PM

Someone went and started using a pin in Bubblews Land. It's a shame. They owe me approximately $500.00. I really do think I'll receive at least some of it, but the time involved, and the fact that not all redemptions are now being paid, has discouraged me.

Kasman wrote on December 15, 2014, 2:41 PM

Ravenmount - I feel much the same way. The interaction on this site is what really keeps me here - that and the promising future PP has.

Glenn wrote on December 15, 2014, 3:32 PM

It's good you're diversifying. Because you never know what ail happen with any single platform, especially when they have proven to be unprofessional in the way they handle system testing and upgrades. I am also way past 30 days since my last redemption. The thing I remember reading is that the USA will be paid in 30 days and other countries may have to wait up to 60 days. At least that's what I remember reading. Now I am approaching 60 days in another week. I'm curious to see if I get paid. Meanwhile, an attorney instructed me not to write anymore unless they pay, because legally I will be showing agreement to non-payment, despite what the TOS say. So here I am --- waiting. Same as you.

Glenn wrote on December 15, 2014, 3:35 PM

Since you're payment is over 60 days, that's not good news. The worst case they promised was 60 days. This is looking like no one is going to be paid anymore and they will just keep what they have and disappear. That's what it's looking like.

MakeMoneyOnline wrote on December 15, 2014, 5:38 PM

I am very new at Bubblews so I decided to wait it out a bit. I didn't even make $5 in the first week and now my bank came to an almost full stop. I'm seeing it move up a cent or two a day even though I did a few posts and got at least 10 likes and 4 comments in that period. I'll wait and see if it's just a glitch but right now I'm seriously doubting it...

Cinna wrote on December 16, 2014, 12:56 AM

Hello there. I write over at DTC too, I think we follow each other ;). My advice is to walk away from Bubblews and save yourself the frustration. I loved the site, was a die-hard supporter up until two months ago, but they got too bit too fast I think and are in over their heads.

Cinna wrote on December 16, 2014, 12:57 AM

DTC is great! They have a support page Facebook group and the two owners are always active on there, as well as if you friend them on FB and send them a direct message. Very transparent and responsive set up.

LoudMan wrote on December 16, 2014, 1:37 PM

Well, from the perspective of having been there, I know this sucks. So, join me in visualizing Arvind realizing what he screwed up, 5 seconds too late to save himself.

WordChazer wrote on December 16, 2014, 3:31 PM

I actually heard about this site from someone called Mary who responded to my comment on a thread on isitdownrightnow.com when the big B was going through its updates in July. When I investigated I realised that here was where elitecodex had vanished to and that it was a similar kind of site to Bubblews so while the site lurched through its bad phase, I was over here instead.

WordChazer wrote on December 16, 2014, 3:41 PM

From what I hear, Arvind is currently missing in action, which is not generally a good thing for a CEO. I'm still posting there, and will keep my account open because I have made some great connections there. But I can see myself looking into DTC as well.

Feisty56 wrote on December 16, 2014, 7:09 PM

Oh Ellis...now I have this strange mental image of you...trying to block it, trying to block it. : )

celticeagle wrote on December 17, 2014, 11:35 AM

Bubblews has really gone down the tube. It is sad because it started out as such a great place.

allen0187 wrote on December 17, 2014, 7:59 PM

I've given up on bubble ooze a long time ago. Red flags everywhere in that site. I hope you get paid. What they do there is nothing short of robbery.

FreyaYuki wrote on December 18, 2014, 1:22 AM

Also waiting for a payment from that site. And also noticed that the interaction and traffic there seems really low like many people aren't around anymore. When you mention client writing, what do you mean by that? Is there a site for that?

Gina145 wrote on December 20, 2014, 5:01 AM

Arvind finally put in an appearance this week and has admitted that the site was paying out more than it was earning - hence the drop in what they now pay. It's not looking good for the site going forward.

Gina145 wrote on December 20, 2014, 5:05 AM

Bubblews owes me for two redemptions, one from August and one from October which is just past the 60 day mark. I'm not optimistic about receiving either of them. My balance is currently just over $40.50, but at the rate I'm earning - about 2-3 cents per post - I'll never reach $50, so I've taken a "break" from the site. If I see some of my missing money I may go back, but it doesn't seem terribly likely.

I've just tried to sign up at CGP Gallery as several of my Bubblews friends are there. However I have received no confirmation email and am unable to log in. I think it might be a better idea for me to try Daily Two Cents.

WordChazer wrote on December 20, 2014, 6:19 AM

Same as what seems to be happening to Tsu, which apparently was a great site previously but by the time I found it a month or so ago, had degenerated into an endless stream of two word 'posts' and copyrighted photographs.

marialy18 wrote on December 24, 2014, 11:18 AM

I have emailed them for my claims there but until now I am not receiving any answer

momathome wrote on December 25, 2014, 6:54 PM

I hadn't heard of Daily Two Cents yet, I have to admit that I've regulated all writing sites due to payouts to a "extra time" status. I have been focusing on those sites which have higher payouts/per time invested and where I can more easily control how much I make per day where as writing sites are more subjective and reliant on others visiting, liking, commenting, etc. Especially since payout times have been extended so far out. I don't like having more than one payment pending on Bubblews so I don't even worry about reaching payout status until after my last payment has been received, so this means that I wouldn't want to cash out more than once every 60 days max. anyway.

AliCanary wrote on December 25, 2014, 9:18 PM

I understand this is the way it's going for everyone. I made a handful of posts over the past month just to test the waters, but the waters are very shallow, indeed. By the way, you should probably ditch that image and replace it with something else. Bubblews TOS states that their graphics are copyright protected, and I know you are very much against copyright infringement.

easyway wrote on December 26, 2014, 10:54 PM

lol. i too have bunch of it. And one of it is on 99th day

maramadalina wrote on December 29, 2014, 9:42 PM

I wait for my payments for entire months. Bubblews lost my trust and I'm not the only one.

arthurchappell wrote on January 4, 2015, 5:10 AM

Given their new year's Day message withholding all payments prior to November 11th last year just hang on here and everyone from Bubblews will be coming to you
