35 years worth of stuff

Good evening everyone. I havent been to long come in from that visit at my moms. Well it all went beter than i thought it would. I figured my sister would of come over there starting stuff with us but thak goodness she didnt. Both of my aunts come to help. I am so glad that they did because there was 35 years worth of stuff in that house. We were able to get a bunch of it but there is still tons left. We just dont have any where to put all that stuff. Both of my aunts took alot back with them. I and my brother took alot with us. My cousin also had got some stuff to. The only thing i know to do is maybe have an estate sale. Its just going to be hard for me to let her stuff go. I would rather it go to people in the family. But i guess i am going to have to face it that we just cant keep everything. I did get to get a few things like pictures and we found her diploma from back in 1973. Wow long time and it was still in the orginal book that it come in.Hope you all are having a great night. I also see we got a lot a new members.YAY

Maybe you can get it sorted as to what you want to keep and then sell the rest?

I'm glad that things went better than planned.
At least you were able to salvage some pictures! Those memories can be precious.

1973 diploma from high school!?! That means that your mom and I are about the same age!!! I graduated from high school back in 1971! I have a lot of things in storage right now and am gradually deciding what to keep, what to sell, what to give away, and even what to throw away (the latter category being such things as scraps of paper, etc. rather than keepsakes). One thing I've been going through are old newspapers and am keeping parts of them that I want and giving the rest to Larry who donates them to this private Christian school for recycling.
