Swagbucks: How could I forget?

A while back, I had opened a Swagbucks account as a means of earning a little extra money. I was able to earn gift cards pretty easily and actually even used those gift cards to help acquire odds and ends for my wedding back in June 2013. I guess with the chaos of the wedding and the honeymoon, swagbucks fell to the back of my mind because I completely forgot it even existed until a little bit ago.

I'm completely kicking my own rear end right now because I forgot about their shopping rewards. With as much as I spend on Christmas shopping, I could have earned a good deal of swagbucks. I spent close to $500 at Walmart alone just for Christmas. Swagbucks gives 3 SB for every dollar spent at walmart online. 1500 swagbucks is $15 in giftcards or paypal. Sure it isn't much in comparison to the $500, but it's money that I would've spent anyway. Add that to all the other shopping I do online, plus all the SB I can earn from watching videos, taking polls, searching the web, and such... I kinda feel like I lost out a little. I probably won't use it for all my online shopping as I am all about finding the best deals, but I think it's definitely time to jump back on the swagbucks wagon.

For anyone wondering about swagbucks potential... I used swagbucks from August- Mid November. In that time frame I acquired $40 in amazon gift cards and was just shy of getting $5 more. No, you won't make a living, but it's definitely helpful. If you're interested in giving it a try, feel free to sign up using my referral link:

Celestesashin I use ebates, and so far it has proven to be a good alternative for me. As you say it will not make one rich but helps saving/getting some cash back.

I actually have a growing list of comparisons between Swagbucks and Ebates. Sometimes it's better to shop through Swagbucks and Sometimes it's better to use ebates. Since I'm always looking for the best deal, I always try to compare. Both are good sites though.

I use Swagbucks as well. Been with them for a few years. I don't make as much as some of my friends because I mostly search through their toolbar.
