Dealing With People Who Do Not Understand Work At Home
Ever since I began working at home I have ran into a lot of issues where my family and friends online and offline have not always been understanding to what it means to work from home. I try and spread my time evenly but truth is this is my only income so yes I do usually do some online work 7 days a week. Today was going to be a day off and that was only because my close friend waned us to hangout.
Since getting up the only online work I accomplished was Postloop and TellWut and now here. Nothing has been said yet as to when we are going which is bothersome. I finished getting ready a bit ago to be ready but I can't help but feel a bit frustrated over this. I made today be a day off to hangout and I am working until I know what is going on but I don't want to start into anything big and then not be able to finish it.
This is sort of a vent post, sorry. Other weird issues have been times where no one could believe I was making some money and thought I was wasting my time. The negative attitudes of people can be hard but I always try to get past it or just not think about it at all. Are there times where people don't understand what it means to work at home? Or give you similar frustrations?

I would definitely try to contact the friend and nail down the schedule. Nobody likes to be left hanging!

This is very true. I just sent him a text but no response yet. I guess I am just going to keep doing bits here and there on sites and hope I hear something soon.

My family, with the sole exception of my wife, don't understand what I do online. They mostly think I spend all evening playing games and it can be hard to get them to understand that i can't just drop everything and come running when they call.

I understand that. They think that we are lazy and waste time at home doing nothing.

I guess a lot of us are experiencing the same way except for those who are already veteran in this kind of job, who are able to finance their family or contribute to family finances, but for me who has just starting I heard a lot of persecutors in my back while working add things that I need to do. but its okay than thinking I have no family to nagged at me.

That would be a hard thing about working at home.

I get that all the time! Have laptop, will travel, can work. Yes, I'm working on my vacation. Writing doesn't often feel like work though. Riddle me that...
