A Christmas Tree Lighting

Lebanon, the town that I live in, had it's 44th annual Christmas tree lighting last evening. Only a handful of times has it been on a Saturday night. Sunday nights seem to be when most people attend. It has been done in the cold, the not so cold, the light snow and in the drizzle. The tree is decorated by hand, with someone climbing the tree to get to the top. The same tree has been decorated for all of these years. My church's hand bell choir has been apart of the celebration for the past ten years or so. We move the bells from church down the road and back again for the event. Sometimes the crowds are large and noisy, sometimes they are not. Santa arrives by fire truck, much to the delight of everyone. This year Santa was especially jolly. I had a wonderful time even though I was cold and shivering.

but where is Jesus? Heehe.. I know his in heaven happily looking at us... but hope he was not neglected in your hearts, Santa Claus he is more popular than the Savior. I thank Jesus for this day that he never abandoned us and give us hope and fulfilled his promise by saving us from that cross.
