Persona Paper Payment Comparison

Over the last few days, I've been monitoring pay rates for Persona Paper and Post Any Article to see which one pays better. I thought I would post a brief article to share with you my logic about who pays better and why.

Post Any Article has a low cash out, which is what drew me to it initially... however, I found they pay less than Persona Paper in part because they are restrictive with their payouts. Allow me to explain...

Post Any Article pays more for views. You earn about $2.80 for every 1000 views your articles get while you'll only get about $2.00 (2000 coins) for every 1000 on Persona Paper. However, Post Any Article will only pay for those views if it was viewed by someone not logged in as a user. Meaning, if another Post Any Article user views your post while logged in, you get nothing. So that restriction in itself, can make gathering views slow going.

Even If you were to choose to count on the $2.80 per 1000 views, I believe Persona Paper will payout better in the end. This is because Persona Paper pays out about $2.00 (2000 coins) per 1000 comments, as opposed to the $.90 per 1000 comments Post Any Article Pays. It's also because Persona Paper pays you to post meaningful comments on other posts, where as Post Any Article does not. Math seems to show $1.00 (1000 coins) for every 1000 comments you post (if they are meaningful and relevant).

Of course, pay rates fluctuate, and you may get more views than comments or vice versa, but as a general rule I do feel that Persona Paper is a better paying site. If your experience shows otherwise, feel free to post in the comments as I would really like to know.

EDIT: The above calculations are based on my own observations with my own PP and PAA accounts. While I believe them to be accurate for my own accounts, I can't speak for everyone. This is especially true with PAA as that rate not only varies by day but also by user.

Thank for the review. It's always helpful to know whether it is worth trying other sites.

Actually the comment earns you 1 point while each view earns you 2 points. You may need to recompute.

I've tracked comments and views since I started my account. Every time someone has commented on my post I've gotten 2 coins. Every time someone has viewed, I've gotten 2 coins. I only get 1 coin when I comment on other people's posts. I'm a little OCD about math so if I realize I'm wrong, I'll change it but as of today I have still been getting 2 coins per comment on my posts.

Perhaps the 2 coins come from the view, and not the comment. As far as I know, when others comment on our post, they get 1 coin while we do not get any coin except 2 coins from the view.

CelesteSashin wrote on December 8, 2014, 12:21 AM

If I'm getting 2 coins for the view, then that would mean I'm not getting anything for the comments- because I'm only getting 2 coins total- not 3. Only time I ever hit an odd interval is after I comment on another post. I've honestly been sitting here pouring over the numbers and anyway I cut it I can't make the numbers fit. ...I'm beginning to think PP makes it so we can't track this stuff intentionally. I did try calculating your way though (2 per view, 1 per comment, 1 per like) and I came up short of the amount I currently have. I tried it by my calculations and honestly, it's coming up slightly over what I have. I'll revise the post to indicate the math could be off, but I watch my account like a hawk (I'm seriously OCD with it) and I know every time I've gotten a comment my account has jumped 2 coins. WHY it has jumped 2 coins with each comment I guess is the mystery lol.

I don't know how they calculate it in PAA. I am more convenient here at PP.

CelesteSashin thanks, it is useful information, I hava always believed the highest potential lies inside Persona Paper, we are just getting started and there is a lot of work ahead of us, but in the end it will be worth the effort.

I never heard of "Post Any Article" and this was an interesting comparison. Every publishing site has their own way of monitizing the articles and posts users write. Some have failed and shut down their business, such as Squidoo and Yahoo Voices. New ones are presently popping up. I guess they all try little tricks to see what works best. In the meantime, it's best to make sure you always have a backup of your articles in case the site you write on disappears.
