Pop Up Ad Problem

Found another pop up ad problem that I wanted to let elitecodex know about. We had this problem a while back and then it went away. I'm hoping that will be the case this time as well.

With this particular pop up ad, I couldn't do anything else. It wouldn't let me click to respond to a comment or anything. I had to refresh the page completely to get it to go away and be able to do anything.

Here is a larger version of the ad:

As you can see, it was a video ad. I guess that's why it wouldn't let anything else on the page work. I hope you can figure out which network sent it and stop it from happening for anyone else. Good luck!

Sorry this happened to you, Angel, but glad you reported it promptly.

I try to report them so elitecodex can fix the problems. I wish they had a message feature on the site so I didn't have to do articles to report things, but it does help to show pics.

You could use the Contact form which is provided. See the button at the top of every page.

I've had some issues lately too, Angel. I just sent Will some screen caps for a redirect that tries to force the download of a "Flash Player" that seems to be Vosteran Search in disguise :(

It is super annoying. I just let it be since PP has to earn before it can pay us.

I think it just ate up your bandwidth. Videos always slow my computer way down, sometimes freezing it altogether. :/

The main problem with this video ad is that it won't let you do anything else. Yesterday, it happened four times and I refreshed and it just kept coming back. I never could comment, but had to leave a message on Kasman's profile.

The problem is, if this kind keeps happening, people are going to get tired of not being able to do anything on the page and quit coming here.

I watch videos fine other places. Never had this happen before. I just hope the ad goes away.

Wow! I usually manage to get rid of those really tenacious ones by reloading the page in a different tab. Did you try that, Angel?

I've got one of those on the page now as I'm trying to comment, and it's the second one that opened here. I scrolled down at the edge to get rid of it.

I hate that one, but I got something worse today when I had to download Evernote again on my iMac. I thought I could trust Evernote, but when I downloaded it before I knew what hit me another message popped up that talked me into making trovi.com my default home search page on all browsers and I can't get rid of it. Now I can't even browse that site until I figure out how to uninstall it. Don't ever let it have control of your browser. WOT warned me during my first search not to go there, and now I can't search for anything without being redirected there.

I tried refreshing, but not in a different tab.
