Our Christmas Decorations

I just thought I'd share our Christmas decorations with y'all. We got them done today. At least I don't think we'll add anything more this year. You never know with me though.

These are the first set of photos I've taken and got ready to put online. I just played around with that first photo and put the words on it. Looks sorta like a postcard to me.

Here are a couple different shots of our tree without the words.

I liked the reflection in the window in the above shot.

I love how the tree looks in the above shot. It is one of my favorites so far.

And here is Santa just chillin' in front of the tree.

I've had Santa for a few years. I love his curly beard.

This is some of our outside decorations.

And this is our front door. :)

Hope y'all had a great weekend. Take care and stay warm.

I love the second to last photo! And the Santa at the base of your tree is lovely!

Thanks. I love Christmas decorations. I'm really happy with my tree this year. Be sure to post photos of yours!

Thanks, I hope you have a good one as well.

That's a very traditional-looking tree. Unlike mine! (Ours, but my husband shows no interest in it whatsoever so it's mine. His sole contribution is lugging everything down from the loft.) My main tree is 6' of white tinsel and bright colored tinsel strands and baubles. The tree in the front room goes on the side table and is 2' of deep purple tinsel with contrasting pale tinsel strands and baubles. We festoon the pictures, the stair rail and the TV screen too. This year my mother-in-law gave us a Wilkommenkerzen triangle bridge light for our front window as I've been hankering after one for years but not been in Germany at the right time to buy one for over a decade. Our neighbors both have things in their windows and our house looked dark and unwelcoming even though I do have window clings.

You should post photos of your trees. They sound cool. Mine is actually more traditional this year than it has been for the last ten or so. I used to have blue, white and silver decorations.

If I put this Christmas tree in my living room, we will not have room to walk. Our apartment is really small.

That is a lovely tree. I am still waiting for my son to come over and get things out of the loft for me; but I think I might make a start myself today. I promised to ask a little girl whose mum is not planning on doing decorations over to help me do my tree.

I love the front door decoration and the picture of the decorated tree reflecting in the window.

AngelSharum wrote on December 2, 2014, 1:31 PM

It is a pretty big tree. It is 7.5ft. We've had it for 15 years now I think it is. A long time.

AngelSharum wrote on December 2, 2014, 1:31 PM

That is cool. I'm sure she will have fun helping with the tree.

AngelSharum wrote on December 2, 2014, 1:32 PM

Yeah, that reflection is pretty cool. We made the Welcome, Y'all sign last year and I just hung Santa with it.

WordChazer wrote on December 2, 2014, 3:11 PM

When I get around to putting it up this year, I will try to post a photo.

Feisty56 wrote on December 2, 2014, 3:34 PM

I like the owl I see on the tree. The "welcome" sign on the front door -- is that something you or Roy made?

AngelSharum wrote on December 2, 2014, 3:56 PM

I have four owls I think on the tree. :) Yes, we made the Welcome, Y'all sign with my new sign maker I got last year.

Nice tree. I really love christmas tree but here People hardly put it up so it's always a nice thing seeing others tree decorations

wow, nice Christmas decorations. We have simple decorations at home as well as in my office. Decorations from both home and my office were came from different old magazines, cut-out. Scrap materials for short. Merry Christmas to you and to all the members of PersonaPaper :)

crowntower wrote on December 6, 2014, 6:45 AM

wow that is so cool! Anyway we can't decorate our house because it is so small and there is no enough space for trees and other Christmas decorations except for the Christmas lights we have on our window.

AngelSharum wrote on December 7, 2014, 12:35 PM

I love having the tree up. I like outside lights as well but not many of our neighbors do them.

AngelSharum wrote on December 7, 2014, 12:35 PM

That sound interesting. Are you posting a photo of the tree on here?

AngelSharum wrote on December 7, 2014, 12:36 PM

You'd have to get one of those little one foot trees. :)

autumntale wrote on December 27, 2014, 1:56 AM

Wow, did you set this all up? It's really nice. My mom still prefers to cut some branches and wrap them with crepe paper.

AngelSharum wrote on December 27, 2014, 5:00 PM

I actually put the tree together myself this year. My husband has to do the lights with me cause I can't reach the top and he does the star and decorations on the very top for the same reason, but otherwise I do all the decorating. It is fun.
