Are You Ready For Thanksgiving

This week is going to be spent getting ready for Thanksgiving. I need to get my shopping done for dinner before next week! That's when the grocery stores will be extra crowded.
This year I am in charge of the cranberries, the corn casserole, the green bean casserole and the roast.
Our menu is about the same every year.
My step-dad fries a turkey, I make a roast, and my grandma makes a ham.
Then there is:
green bean casserole
corn casserole
sweet potatoes
cranberries
mashed potatoes with gravy
peas
carrots
Watergate salad
rice dressing
broccoli rice
rolls
asparagus
carrots
And lots of desserts! My daughter can always come up with the best deserts!
Oh my gosh! I can't wait!
My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
And yes I know that seems like an awful lot of food, but we have a large family and none of it gets wasted.
What are your Thanksgiving plans? Are you ready yet?

That is going to feed a lot of people! My sister and her husband have 9 children, so with just her family that's 11 people!
We average about 30 people at our get togethers!
And it's not crawfish season! No one had any left in their freezers!

I love Watergate Salad! It's one of my favorites. We will have.... after I do the cooking... Roasted Turkey with Cornbread Dressing, Fresh Greenbeans, Mashed Potato's, Homemade Cranberry Sauce, Candied Yams, Corn, Fresh Bread, Carrots and Turnips Mash, Veggie Platter, Deviled Eggs, Pumkin Pie, Chocolate Pie, Apple Pie and House Punch!

Deviled eggs! I may have to whip some of those up as well!
The kids love them!

You have to watch those frozen ones. Most of them are from China.
It says packaged in Louisiana, but if you look closely, it says product of China.
