Why do Celebrities Always Have to Explain to the Public?

Celebrity. A public figure. One who is admired and hated by many people. One who is in show business, who entertains the public and gain popularity. They are like Gods and Goddesses admired by many viewers. People would look at them like they are perfect, high profile individuals. When they commit mistakes, they are bashed on the internet, they are required to explain to the people watching them.

When you become a celebrity, expect that your life will have an unexpected big big change. It would give you good income but would you be happy if many people would let out their false judgments against you? Would you still feel good if they ruin your dignity? You will be in a lifetime hot seat. People would always question your ability. Why you didn't do this? Why you hid this and that, etc?

I just wonder why celebrities always have to explain to people when it's not necessary. I mean, celebrities are humans. They also have the right of privacy. Just like ordinary people. Do they not have the right to get married and choose not to tell to the public that they are going to settle down? Do they not have the right to get pregnant just like the ordinary girls getting pregnant without having a husband?

There are many circumstances in a celebrity's life that doesn't have to be explained to the people around them. There are things that happens normally because of the fact that we are all humans and that we all have the right to do anything that we want, celebrity or not.

honestly speaking i don't want to be a celebrity because they are always watch out by media and public.. their lives are very limited and stressful although very good money making.

Celebrities WANT to be noticed. It is their life blood, it's why film stars get picked for films, because their faithful followers will come to watch them, buy their clothes and perfumes etc. You can't turn that interest on and off, even if they would like to!

carexing25 you will need to put a different photo up if you want to earn money on this post. It is a watermarked photo and has not been correctly attributed. You said pixabay.com but it has to be the FULL url, not just the site name. You can copy and paste that from the top address bar when you find your picture on line. If you don't have a picture you can legitimately use, why not create your own graphic, or use a cartoon type one from pixabay or similar?

I agree with you, this action is called copyright violation. When you buy the right to use the picture, they will remove the watermark, and then it is all right to use it!

I agree with MegL ,they have to be prominent- I should think it best that they never read stuff about themselves.

Frankly they need to take care of their image, which will reflect back on their career.

Still I believe they don't get too much privacy after their famous. The bad side of it?

Not explaining themselves can cost a celebrity their career. Back in the early 1950's, Ingrid Bergman's career was pretty much destroyed when it became public knowledge that she was having an affair with the director of one of her films. Both were married at the time. More recently, Charlie Sheen got himself booted off of his very successful TV show when he went on a public rant about what he really thought about the network and creators of his show. Sure, he's got his own show now on a cable channel, but it has far fewer viewers (and presumably a lower income from advertising revenues) than his former show. Technically, celebrities don't HAVE to explain anything. But because the essence of their careers involves remaining popular with the public, and the public can be punishing in their disapproval of the antics of celebrities, they will continue to explain themselves in the hopes of being forgiven by the public so that they can continue to remain relevant in their chosen line of work.
