Christmas time is my favorite

My absolute favorite holiday is Christmas. There's a certain feeling about it. Almost everyone is nicer that time of year. It's so pretty when people actually decorate. Snow, christmas lights, decorations, Christmas trees, it's all just so beautiful. From a kid to now I loved Christmas. I loved the presents, the decorations, the lights, the music, the movies, everything about it made me happy. Baking cookies, people wearing Christmas sweaters, everyone being more peaceful, it's like an indescribable feeling. I'm still unsure if I even want kids but if I have them I can't wait to make Christmas magical to them. I can't wait to carry over traditions like hiding the pickle and starting new traditions like making a gingerbread house every year. I'd have us watching Christmas movies on Christmas Eve as we bake cookies for Santa. Sneaking down while they're sleeping to put presents under the tree to see the excitement on their face as they see the cookies eaten, and all the new presents. To take them to my moms house and have a great meal. It's just something I always pictured. Giving a kid a magical Christmas is something I am excited to do some day because it was so magical to me and I want to pass that on.

Sounds like you'll make Christmas very magical if/when you decide to have children. At 53 I still have very fond, very clear memories of Christmas celebrations from my youth. I can still feel the excitement of going to my grandparents' home on Christmas Eve and all the fun that entailed, and then the restlessness of trying to get to sleep later that night and then waking on Christmas morning to a tree surrounded by a mountain of gifts. Ahh, the lights, the noise (I was one of eight!), the colors, the wonderful aromas...
