Christmas Tradition

It is soon , it is now time to think of . This is a bad if you ask me. It looks like every year everyone expecting more and more, of course for those who practice this tradition. It stresses me, on the other hand, to celebrate Christmas is fun since I am having 2 weeks free from work which is one thing and having a family gathering and the food that everyone is preparing for Christmas is great.

Christmas dishes are my favorite food. especially the steak pork ribs in Norwegian way. I love it. I can even eat it every day.

Anyway, it looks like I went too far I want to talk about gifts and its value. I don't mean in number though. I remember when I was on my younger age. I don't even know if I receive something or what I get. I always got so excited every Christmas if I get something or feeling sad. I don't expect so much. It looks like every gift I received has a value that time. No matter what I get, I am so thankful since the of being so for me is enough.

Today, I noticed that the children including my daughter will give what was on their lists and they already know what they're getting already. It doesn't give them too much excitement and they know that it's a tradition. Parents, brother, sister and relatives will give them a Christmas present. The thoughtfulness was not been given a value since it is a tradition that when there is a Christmas , the gift is there.

I don't have any wishes yet what I want on Christmas and it stresses me, since my relatives and starting to ask, I have to ask them back too. The adults don't give a list that are too expensive because everyone knows that our family tree is big. Worst are the children though parents trying to tell them, some don't heard what adults want them to learn but they didn't went up higher than we can't afford, then they have top think of again.

Anyway I got one list from one of my nieces. She wants anything from a beauty product.

Thinking to order from GlossyBox

Are you doing such tradition? What will be your wishlist if you will be ask by your relatives?

I generally receive a few small gifts for Christmas, always something unique that becomes a treasure. Last Christmas my daughter and son-in-law gave me a roundtrip flight to the Pacific Northwest where I had a lovely 6-week vacation. It was perfect and I was fortunate. I generally don't give gifts these days because I really can't afford it. Fortunately my family does not view Christmas as a time for a lot of gifts. (Children are the exception of course, but they don't go overboard.)

I think you deserved that vacation =D I wasn't not use to make some stressful gift preparation back to where I came from Ph. I have gifts for the children that I know they don't have a lot and for my niece and nephews but not like this we have today.

Being with family and friends is enough for for children only...

Somehow my parents made us understand that we would get something nice for Christmas but it would not be extravagant.
