New Doctor

I saw a new doctor today. I'm going to keep her as my primary physician if she accepts the new plan my insurance is changing me to in January. She said she thought they would take it, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

I actually had a good experience at the doctor's today. That's a first in a long time. She listened and seemed to know what she was talking about. She ordered all my normal blood work: CBC, CMP, Lipid Panel, Thyroid Panel, A1C, Vitamin D, and she ordered some cortisol tests. I've already had one high cortisol test so I'm glad she wanted to check again. It could explain a lot of things if my cortisol is off.

She actually did a physical exam too. My old doc would listen to my chest and that was about it. He didn't really care to take time with me because I have so much going on. He told me he didn't really know how to treat me. I'm glad I found a doctor at least willing to try.

I will let y'all know how all the blood test results turn out whenever I get them.

It always helps when you like your doctor and you feel that they are genuinely trying to do their best to help. Even doctors don't have all the answers, but if you have found one willing to try to work with you to find them then I say stick with her if you can.

I plan to. I hope she is in the new plan come January.

What a relief it must be to find a doctor you like and you have confidence in. I hope that office accepts your new plan at the turn of the year.

Thanks, me too. The doc seemed to think she would still take my insurance with the new plan.

People says I have bad blood, so I have white hairs despite I'm young. I'm just 20 years old, too young to have white hair!

I don't know about bad blood. Some people just go prematurely white/gray. My mom had her first gray streak at 15.
