Girls Night Out
It is so important to take a break from time to time. To have some time for yourself. It has been a few months since I had a night to myself, so you can imagine how excited I was to go to a girls night birthday party/baby shower. I made a delicious fruit pizza. I used my sugar cookie recipe and instead of making them into shapes, I just made one large rectangle. I then put rasberries and strawberries on top. I guess they were really good because my pan came home empty. OK, enough about the food. Did I mention that we had little cucumber sandwiches, drank soda from teacups and had cream puffs. Oh yes, we went wild =) We watched the movie "Austenland" which was hilarious.
We then spent the next hour just talking. It is so important to form bonds with the women in your life. These ladies all have children, some with babies and some whose babies are graduating high school. I felt empowered by these women and loved all the "girl talk" that we got to have.
