Brush Your Teeth!

It past my kids' bedtime and here I am again reminding them to brush their teeth. It is quite hard to call the kids and follow right away when they are so engrossed with their games or videos on their ipads. Anyway, i focus on their dental care since I grew up with really bad dental experience. I wore dental appliances since I was 7 years old. From there I went on to metal retainers, then braces. After years of painful braces due to my underbite, I decided to undergo surgery since the orthodontist saw that most of my teeth were not in the right place. After surgery I had him put in dental jackets so I never have to wear braces again.

Now with my kids I am careful. I had their teeth cleaned, coated with fluoride and then sealed. It was expensive but I believe it is cheaper than actually repairing any damage. My daughter has a rubber appliance she wears while sleeping. This will mold her jaw so she will never have an under bite like I did before. Prevention si better than cure. i always say.

It is very important that you teach your kids good dental care while they are still young so that when they are mature. they will not depart from it. Of course who wants to loose his or her teeth to dental caries? definitely no one that I know. So a stitch in time saves nineteen. Good luck

I agree. Prevention is better than cure and when it comes to teeth, one can never be too careful. The dentists' bills can cost an arm and a leg if there's no insurance.

I am lazy brushing my teeth when I was a kid but believe me I am 40 now but I have a healthy teeth! Maybe it just because I am not a sweet lover. I mean sweets. LOL. I seldom eat candies/ chocolates. Or maybe it's hereditary too. :)
