I passed! But wait, there's more!

I called up the department I was applying to and I learned that my rating for the pre-qualification exam was "Middle Average". I got to the quota and I'm qualified to apply for the position. There were 17 of us who took the exam. I'm not sure how many of us passed. And there are 3 vacant positions to fill up.

Woooh! Step one, done. So this will be the second part of the waiting game. A call for an interview at the regional level. Well at least this part doesn't make me anxious anymore.

After the interview, I think there would be a group interview (as opposed to the panel interview in the first phase). This would be interesting as this would be my first time. But based on my own research, it is different for every region. The whole process will entirely depend on each region's personnel selection board.

Oh, well. I'll just have to equip myself with as much information as I can.

It's always great to get through the qualifying stage, it cuts down on the competition!

Thanks! I know. After being a WAHM for more than a year, I'm finally trying my way back into the workforce, which I actually miss. What with all the fresh graduates as competition, it does get tougher everyday.

I've been asking my friends from the inside about the results. I'm trying to find out exactly how many us passed. It cuts down the anxiety!

I took a written exam for a state job once with about 600 other people. I was notified that I got a perfect score on the test. The position was never filled. I hate being jerked around.

applying for a job is very stressful. some companies would take forever to inform their applicants that they failed. i like applying for a job in a call center cause it only takes a day to be processed and if an applicant is not qualified then that applicant is informed right away giving him the chance to move on and apply to another call center.

I wish you the best at getting the interview and then the job. Meanwhile, I guess you'll have to play the waiting game.
