Relief For Back Pain

Just last year my husband was hospitalized due to slip disc. This was actually from a back injury way back when he tried to lift my father's barbel and did not bend his knees. He fainted then but the doctor did not see any damage to his back. But last year when he tried to carry our then eight year old daughter (who is quite a big girl for her age), his back cracked and he was confined in the hospital for a week. After that he had to attend a series of physical therapy to relieve him of his back pain and so he could walk and drive normally. Now, he is back to work but still has occasional back pains. We bought a foam roller to help him develop the muscles around the area of his injured back and to relieve pain.

I have this condition myself and do a routine of exercises every day including knees to chest, individual leg up and pull toward chest, extended leg lifts all while laying flat with back to floor. I also do bent leg lists while sitting on exercise ball.

Physiotherapy on a daily basis is what is needed here. Actually this kind of exercise is needed even when one is normal.

Back pain is horrible. I suffer from horrible lower back pain several times a week, I tried exercise, yoga, prescription meds, and now take medical marijuana for it. It works way better than prescription chemicals and is much gentler on the body
