A rose is just a rose, by any other name

Of course, not if the frost gets to it at night.

Roses are one of my favorites. I don't have them in my garden, we are still renting. They require a lot of work. But, wherever I see them I get my camera and shoot.

The one above was in a floral arrangement at the grocery store.

This one was in one of my neighbor's garden. He does not take care of them, but they still come out nicely. They are running in all directions though.

I know that it is hard to believe, but this one was taken in front of Ingham County's Court House. It is on my route walking with my buddy.

This one was next to the white one at the Court House

This one I needed for some works, so I bought it brought it home and took some pictures of it.

A friend of ours brought this one for my wife and I had to take a picture of it.

I think sometimes flowers, but roses in general make us stop and appreciate the little things in life. As roses represent a beauty in the world that sometimes we are too rushed or are too blind to see. It is true "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and I think that sometimes we just need to stop and appreciate the true beauty of the world around us! All these pictures are beautiful by the way.

I've been photographing my roses, too, as well as the neighbors' other flowers in bloom. Roses do add color at a time when many flowers are on their way out of bloom.

these are very beautiful roses. I like the roses from outside, but never think of taking pictures of it or using it or buying it. I don't feel like relating to that one. Because I don't like its thorn. In my personal opinion, flowers are soft and gentle so I don't want flowers which needs special attention or care because of its dangerous thorns emoticon

Like all classic beauties roses have their hidden thorns. Touch one the wrong way and you get scratched! :)

All the lovely pictures, thanks for sharing.
My favourite flowers are daisy and sun flower.

Your photography skills are very good. Your able to capture each images with the right amount of light-source, except for the white rose. emoticon
Flowers are meant to be in the gardening section? :)

Lovely. I like the one second from the bottom. I do love a peppery rose smelling flower. Lovely.
