Volbeat; The Only Band Ever Named After a Pokemon Character Category Challenge - Anime
Volbeat is a Danish metal band often seen taking the U.S. by storm, in building a fan-base of dancing, partying, listeners. Many of their hits, including “ Heaven Nor Hell ” seem to take over the moment while playing, as well as the mind of the listener.
Why they chose as a name, the name of a Pokemon character, is beyond me. I suppose each person in the creative process, which is Pokemon, wanted each of everything represented.
The character they chose to name themselves after is a bug-like, firefly-type Pokemon character , whose primary ability is to “swarm” and which is not known to evolve into any other Pokemon characters, in the gamer universe.

I love Volbeat. It always puts me in a better mood. But I NEVER knew it was named after a Pokémon character. That is pretty awesome. I just love the singer's voice. He has got a true talent.
