Introduction for Chicago_Timo

As a former publishing director that has been out of the business for over 14 years and looking to get back into my first love I was excited to come across this site. I look at this opportunity as a chance to come full circle careerwise, having spent the first 20 years of my work life in the editorial and publishing business followed by 14 years in big box retail management and logistics management fields. Throughout my career journey, I've called upon my writing skills too many times to count and have come to realize it is a passion and I enjoy it. So here goes. Beyond my hopes and dreams to jumpstart a freelance career, I am a passionate home chef with designs on taking further cooking classes to hone my skills. My family is my testing ground and god help them when I am unleashed in the kitchen because I can sure make a mess preparing a meal. But it's always worth it! I have been interested in southern cooking with a Cajun bent so we as a family have been chowing on many different gumbo combos, jambalayas and other southern treats. It doesn't get old. I am also a true Chicago sports fan ... and a Cub fan for sure. 2016 is going to be our year folks as sure as I am writing this. I do hope ... being a fan of a team that has lost for 105 years running ... that this addiction does not disqualify me.
