Songs of Our Life

Every day we hear and sing songs about life. There are songs that recall the moments when we feel upbeat and happy. Many of these songs describe the happy feelings of people in love. For instance, a contented mother sings a lullaby to put her baby to sleep. An excited young man serenades the woman he is courting. Joy-filled churchgoers express their faith in God through a song.
Other songs delve into joys of friendship and community. They capture the memorable moments when friends enjoy being together, trusting each other, and supporting one another. There are also songs that recall the moments when we feel down and sad. Many of these songs narrate tear-jerking stories related to love. Someone who ends up frustrated and rejected in his offer of love, or someone who has bear the infidelities of his/her partner.
There are songs that express grief when someone leaves for a faraway place or passes away in death. There are songs that describe the burden of hard work, and songs that rise up from hearts discouraged by failure or calamity, oppression or poverty.
No doubt, we see ourselves in many of these songs. We find the ups and downs of our daily lives reflected in them. As we sing or hum their melodies then we relive our feelings of joy or of sadness. They lead us into ourselves, for deep inside us is the strong desire to live, to develop ourselves to the full, and to reach the peak of our human lives.

Songs also remind us of events. I remember our holiday in Kashmir where this couple had a tape (those good old days there were no cds) of Boney M. And whenever I listen to this group it takes me back to Kashmir.

Music is our life -- All songs are based on experiences, personal or someone's experience.

Like what a popular music store said in its tag line, 'No Music. No Life!'. Music is an integral part of our lives, similar to the air that we breathe!!!

Every child is born with the sound of music -- I mean the rhythmical cry. Music, lyrics, and the voice that are associated with the songs keep touching our lives and remind us the memoirs of cherishing as well as tragic events of our past life.
