Category Challenge: Animals - I love them all!

I decided to join on on dawnwriter 's A-W Category Challenge at last. Animals is an easy one for me.

I grew up with dogs as pets all my life. We always had a dog in the house and I got my own little dog when I was 16 still living at home. Since, I have had many dogs and loads of cats as well as a few birds. I have loved every one of them as if they were humans. They were family. Right now, I have two cats and a dog. Molly is my wonderful little Yorkie that was shuffled between three owners before I adopted her when she was seven months old. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her since no one wanted her and I prepared for a nippy. moody, disobedient pet.

It turns out that Molly is one of the most unique, sweet, loving, and gentle dogs I have ever owned or been around. She is a true lap dog and will curl up in my or my husband's lap and stay there for hours if we don't get up. She's so loving and so darn HAPPY! Everything to her is an adventure and everybody is a new friend.

I don't know what her life was like before we adopted her but the only thing that seems to really scare her is loud shouting. We never yell at her but if my husband is yelling up to me while I am upstairs, Molly thinks he is mad and she will run to me and jump on my lap. We now try not to raise our voices necessarily.

Animals - all of them - are wonderful creatures. I am not a fan of rodents at all but I would never kill one unless I had to. I have a friend who has seven pet mice. I am terrified of mice but I respect that she really adores them and cares deeply about them. But I beg her to leave them caged when I go there. lol. (Same goes for hamsters and gerbils.)

I have had many opportunities to feed and be near deer in the mountains and they are such beautiful animals. I even had one get into my motel room! That was mayhem but she got out of the sliding glass doors and all was well. Whew.

Animals have enriched my life since I was born, both domestic pets and wild ones. Even though I will have a near heart attack if I see a mouse in the house, I am still grateful for all animals and try to treat them all with kindness. I volunteer at the local shelter, donate to others, foster animals at times, and donate to many wildlife foundations.

The world without animals would be a much lonelier, less beautiful place.

If has fur, I am likely to be a fan. Rodents, not so much as other animals, but they are still interesting creatures.

You have to be grateful to Molly as you no longer shout out or at each other (lol). And incidentally your attempt to tag Dawnwriter has not worked since you have added that apostrophe close to the word. You should put that a little distance away. You can edit the post accordingly.

Also you have to use the & sign for the tag.

Animals do enrich our lives, even when they don't belong to us. I wonder if your Yorkie simply wanted more attention from previous owners than she could get.

She is a cute furr-baby. I like dogs but I can't have one in my apartment.

The deer got into your motel room?! That must have been something.

Sometimes, reading posts about animals make me feel sad. I do not have a pet dog for the last decade. I miss having one. Perhaps in the future, I will have one. For now, I just stick to my fishes.

I love almost all animals too. I hate some though.

Reminds me of my Boxer Girl who died age 17 about 15 years ago. What a sweetheart ,she was the runt of our litter and stayed withus and her Mum and Dad for the rest of their lives. She was very sensitive and I could have taken her to the office she was so small and relaxed, I found a dog like yours and also found the owners which was so good...
