Briar Patch BBQ Weekly Special

One of my favorite restaurants is the Briar Patch Restaurant in Hiram, Georgia. Each week they have a weekly special for $7.95.

This was the special last week when I stopped in for lunch: hamburger steak with Texas toast, two sides and a drink. I chose a baked potato and salad with their awesome homemade ranch dressing on the side (so that I could take about 2/3 of it home!).

The specials usually rotate between the hamburger steak, rib eye, BBQ ribs, BBQ pork, chicken, grilled beef, and grilled pork. Most of those are favorites of mine, so I'm often there once a week, if not more often. The food is excellent, and you can't beat those prices.

Wow, that is a really good deal. I never see a deal like that around here.

It's good, it's fast, and it's very reasonably priced. It's hard to pass up.

I did! And took home enough salad dressing home for another salad.

It looks as if you've found a great restaurant that serves a home-cooked menu and food at excellent prices -- and best of all, you like the food. : ) Most towns have one or two such places, but it's the finding them sometimes that is difficult.

'Taking home' is not often an option here in UK. It is expected that you eat-in and leave what you cannot eat. But times are changing...

It's a very popular local restaurant. I often run into someone I know.

It was.

To-go boxes are standard here when you can't eat the entire meal. It's pretty much expected. Some restaurants even box the food for you, bag it, and add in fresh extras, for example a bag of fresh bread or a to-go drink.
