Being Normal is Boring

I have always prided myself for not being one of the common people. Everywhere I have gone and which group of people I had belonged to, it always seemed like I didn't exactly fit in. I do have great friends, not complaining about that but even they're somewhat weird like me. We believe the motto "Being normal is boring" and these days I'm literally following the motto.

My closest friends are people who were weird when I met them or I've turned weird such that they don't fit in with the common folk. Most of the times its difficult adjusting to the social obligations, but knowing how your mind can come up with conclusions nobody else can is like a gift on its own.

I don't think so. If we based our standards to secular world, yes we can say that being normal is boring but being normal means no problem in life and no complication. You are just good.

That comes under ups and downs of life
Being weird is just a personality choice

for me, i prefer to be normal rather than doing some things new. you can call me old school though :D

I don't really think anyone exists who is ,as you say normal ! I think we are all' something else' mostly..

Just as long as you are honest and true to yourself, you are doing good!

I agree with maxeen . Being normal is in the eye of the beholder.

Call me something else...

LoudMan wrote on October 27, 2014, 10:53 AM

folks are fine with the strange and unusual, as long as they fit within the acceptable parameters of strange and unusual. I shattered that wall years ago.

Being normal is necessary for those around you. You can be wacky if you do not have children or elderly depending upon you to be normal and reliable

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:10 PM

Old school is not bad
Just that I prefer a little different ;)

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:10 PM

Well, yes
At the moment I don't have anyone obligations as such

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:11 PM

That's true
Everyone is different in their own way

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:11 PM

I think everyone has that phase
Its my time now lol

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:12 PM

Normal for some would be wearing a cowboy hat at a dinner party, not that people go about it anyway lol

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 27, 2014, 12:12 PM

You said that right, my friend :)

LoudMan wrote on October 27, 2014, 3:42 PM

The thing is, it's no "phase." Once the line is crossed, there's no going back.

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 28, 2014, 2:30 AM

No? Then I guess this is it :)

LoudMan wrote on October 28, 2014, 9:15 AM

Maybe. But it's not so bad. What others call "being weird" is just you advancing your soul. :)

LoudMan wrote on October 28, 2014, 9:34 AM

Being "not normal" doesn't necessarily mean "wacky."

Dawnwriter wrote on October 28, 2014, 10:00 AM

I am sorry. I did not mean it in a bad sense. I would love to be wacky sometimes but I have kids and elderly in-laws to take care of so I have to be very consistent, very normal and very reliable all the time. By the author's standards, that makes me boring but my household depends upon it. No offense meant.

LoudMan wrote on October 28, 2014, 10:18 AM

None taken. I see your point about reliability. I'm not a very reliable person, now that I think on it. Yeah, I better just go follow the herd.

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 28, 2014, 10:35 AM

I'm reliable, yes
But don't follow the herd either :)

KritikaKukreja wrote on October 28, 2014, 10:36 AM

Being reliable don't mean you're boring
You could be fun in your own way, completing all your responsibilities and still having a good time doing 'wacky' things :)

HAHAHA! I like you :)
