A few newbie question from one newbie - me!

I hate being a n00b. I hate not knowing how everything works. I hate asking for help.

But I am going to ask a few questions and hope you guys would be kind enough to answer them for me. I have read the FAQ and things but maybe I missed some things.

1. I believe I know the answer just by seeing comments but is it OK and encouraged to let people know you are following them in a comment on their profile page ? As many know, some sites restrict people from saying that (for some reason). I was nervous about telling someone I was following them because I didn't want to break a rule. And because I didn't want them to feel like I said it because I wanted them to follow me back. Of course I DO but that isn't why I followed them initially. But it isn't against any rule to let someone know that you are following them, I assume?

2. Switching gears, I used two pictures in a post last night. I attributed the first one in the box but there was nowhere to attribute the second one so I just said where it came from at the bottom of the post. Is that how it is done when using more than one photo in a post ? Don't get me started on how to place the photos. I had a hard time moving the second one to where I wanted it but I will practice.

3. Is it all right to write about the same subject as you did or will elsewhere as long as the content is completely different? For instance, if I wrote about the Ebola virus coming to New York elsewhere and then came here and also wrote about it but wrote a whole new post (obviously in a similar vein). is that OK? No part would be the same as the other post except a possible random string of words.

4. Lastly for now, can we link our other posts written here within a post ? If I am talking about an illness I have and I also wrote about it a day ago, can I link that post in case anyone wants to read more about it? Is there a limit to links in a post if they are OK to use? I know that referral links and such are not allowed. I mean linking within the site not offsite. Then again, now I wonder what is OK to link to off the site. I have seen videos linked to. I think this constitutes a couple of questions so I will stop here.

That should do it for now. I really appreciate you reading this and answering if you can. I will eventually know what I am doing but I don't want to break a rule inadvertently. I really am a by the rules kinda person so I get a little crazy when I am uncertain. And I already AM a little crazy to start with. So the less crazy, the better for all involved. Ha!

Actually the best place where you will get accurate answers is to ask 'contact' about it. You will find that tab right on top of any page.

For 3 and 4 - YES.
I'm sorry, I don't know the answers for 1 and 2. I've not yet tried using multiple images here.

Thank you. I just wrote a post about something elsewhere and I want to write about it here. Differently but along the same lines. I guess I will do that without worrying that I am breaking a rule of some sort.

You cannot tell anyone that you are following them. or telling them that you like their post. You can only give comment relevant to the article.

I will contact someone and ask about the pictures in particular as well as whatever I think needs the official word. I don't think I need to ask about the following comments because everyone is doing it and has been. If it was a rule NOT to say we were followings someone, I think someone would have told me by now or I wouldn't be seeing so many comments and getting comments saying so. I just get nervous because a certain site will ban you with no explanation if you break a rule you know nothing about. I know from friends here that this site is not like that, thankfully.

On the post, I understand but on their profile page? I have people telling me they are following me and I have left comments saying the same. Not on a post, I don't think, but on the basic profile area. I will ask to be sure. Or maybe I just didn't see it in the rules.

I just saw your profile page and understand what happened with you. I do not comment in a generic manner and always read and comment about the post so I am not concerned about that. The following comments, I believe are fine on the user's profile as I have gotten such comments from people who have been here a while and are held in high esteem BUT I will ask anyway to be sure.

Thanks! Maybe it would have been better to write to them. I hope they see this and let me know which is best - posting or writing directing when I have a question.

I am also on the slow side here, and wonder about things like that. I hope you get some good advice for this site and if I could have I would have given you some good advice from one newbie to another.

Hi I'll try to answer some of your questions. You do not need to let other people know that you are following them. On profile page, look at right hand side. There are two tabs, "Not Following You" and Follow Me! Looking at any profile, I can know at once if someone is following me or not. Also the notification page also keeps record of each activity so there's no need to actually say the words.

I have not tried multiple photos but there's a tutorial on homepage and here's the link: http://www.personapaper.com/article/12409-how-to-insert-multiple-images-in-a-post-on-persona-paper-a-tutorial

1, 3 and 4 are totally okay. I have no clue about 2 because I haven't done that yet, but now I'm gonna go read the rest of the comments, and I bet I can find the answer there.

#2 answer - I believe when you upload your second photo it asks the name of the photo and by whom, that should be sufficient, but I always at the end of my post I credit the photo belongs to me.
