Gimme A Break Already, Life!!!

This weekend sees the new system rollout at work.

So my audit-based has decreed that next weekend should be the accreditation .

All of my line managers are hopping mad about this, unless they have decided that half term week is a really good week to take leave...

Needless to say, everything is facing the wall at the moment, in various levels of pain. 10 hour days do not mix well with a career, as I am finding. Nor do offers of working for the rollout team when mother-in-law and various friends would actually like to see me sometime soon, even though I am trying to save for Christmas and a holiday.

In the meantime my freelance career knows nothing about this, and has scheduled three clients' deadlines this weekend, one 800 word , 2 400 word articles and another 2 800 word articles in that order. Fortunately, the first 800 word one and first 400 word one are basically written already.

Meantime the continue outside, it being the season for the same in the still-United Kingdom. 31 October is , which we do not recognise in this house. 5 November is Firework Night, which was the occasion of an attempted attack on our property last year. Please the good this does not happen this year.

I hear that beaks in life come at the end, don't be in a rush!

An arson attack! What the hell? ...not sure what to do about that, but as for the rest, my advice is to take no further freelance assignments until the audit is complete, and also to go ahead and work the overtime if you can get your writing assignments done (and it sounds like you can). You will make that extra money for the holidays (and hopefully a bit more beyond), and overtime pay is so much easier to make than writing for the same amount, unless you have some seriously awesome clients. Anyway, just my two cents. Here's hoping you survive all this!

Life has been kicking my butt too. I just hope next year is better. 2014 has been awful for me on many levels.
