My Front Yard

When I was coming home the other day, I noticed how pretty the leaves looked from underneath on one of our dogwood trees. I was still keeping my eye on the road, I promise. Some things just jump out at me.

Anyway, I decided to go out and take some photos. I love how the sun was shining through the leaves. This is one of my favorite shots from that day.

I just love that shot. The color of the leaves, the angle, and everything else. I know, it's just leaves. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

This next shot is nice as well. Just slightly different.

I may have been slightly closer to the tree in that shot. Not sure.

Here is the last shot.

This one shows more of the greenish yellow still in the leaves. This dogwood is the prettiest thing in our yard right now.

Your photography skills are getting better and better. These are really great shots. I love the color you captured in them.

Thank you very much. The leaves were very pretty. It wasn't hard to take good shots.

Donna_Thacker wrote on October 22, 2014, 7:14 PM

Yeah but you have a very good idea for composing the photos too. That makes a big difference on how good the shot is.

Thanks. I'm learning as I go. I love trying new things as well.

All the shots are great, but the last one capture my attention with what looks to be red berry-looking items?

AngelSharum wrote on October 22, 2014, 8:19 PM

Yeah, both the dogwoods have those red berries now.

We got the tail-end of Hurricane Gonzales...or whatever it's called..think autumn shots are going to be pretty sparse this year...

Sorry to hear that. Glad you survived the storm though.

Gotta love these colors. There's something about Autumn.

Those are beauiful fall leaves. Ours are pretty much gone.

It is the artist in you that has looked at the beauty of that pile.

AngelSharum wrote on October 23, 2014, 12:07 AM

Yep. It is my favorite time of year. I can go out more without having breathing problems and I love the colors everywhere.

AngelSharum wrote on October 23, 2014, 12:08 AM

A lot of ours are blowing off before they even turn.

AngelSharum wrote on October 23, 2014, 12:09 AM

I do love the leaves. I could spend all my time outside in autumn.

I have two maple trees in my yard that are usually gorgeous in the fall. Nearly every year I go out and take photos looking up through the leaves like you did. Like I really need more pictures of the bottom side of leaves, or like I'm going to forget what leaves look like. They'll be calf deep in my front yard before too long.

I'm glad you posted these in color instead of in black and white. I also love leaves, and take a lot of photos of them. I do it mostly to help me later identify the trees they came from.

AngelSharum wrote on October 23, 2014, 10:59 AM

LOL, they are still fun to take photos of anyway. Our yard isn't too bad yet but my husband did say he needs to clean the gutters.

AngelSharum wrote on October 23, 2014, 11:00 AM

LOL I don't do everything in black and white, although I do a lot. :)

AngelSharum wrote on October 25, 2014, 10:37 PM

Thank you very much. The tree has now turned a dark red color. I'm glad I got the photos when I did.

This tree is the prettiest thing in the yard...lol
