Starting a Family Life

I got pregnant at the age of 24. In my opinion, that is the perfect age to start a family.

So even though my husband and I made an arrangement of having a baby first before marriage due to a very understandable reason, which will also benefit our family in the future, I didn't feel so much guilty being the first in the family to do that. I know I have disappointed my mother and siblings but I promised them that I am going to marry a very responsible and loving husband in the future.

It was tough at first, my husband made a great effort to build me a room in our Mother's house's garage. Soon after, he installed an air condition unit in our room since it was so humid in our country at that time. Little by little, we started to invest on our own appliances like mini refrigerator, electric fan, bed and television.

My husband has proven to my family that he will take care of me and will give me everything he had promised and more.

I think for a lady, 24 years is the perfect age to start a life, though this applies more to white people but for Africans, we are weird heheh, we can go up to 30

Then I guess African ladies really enjoy their single life or are very independent. :) Settling down at the age of 30 would mean they are really prepared to enter a domestic life. :)

It seems like a round about year to grow up and get serious about life!
