Challenge Accepted

I just happily took the Friends of Persona Paper Challenge. I definitely thought the challenge would motivate me. I could use some motivation.

Can I keep up with the challenge? Time will tell. It will be hard to write a post everyday. It isn't that I don't have a lot to say. There is a lot of things in my mind. I have a ton of research ideas. I also have a ton of journal type of entries I could share. However, my life gets busy. It mostly gets busy because I help care for my 85 year old mother.

Her health isn't the greatest. A few months back she had a setback. She has improved some. This is why I am trying to write more and I am trying to revamp myself by making time for exercise, etc. Yet, there are days when she needs me more and, of course, she will come first. Yet, I know everyone understand that real life does come before everything. With this said, when real life isn't so crazy, I will work on this challenge. It will be good for me.

As for reading and sharing other people's posts, that will be the easy part. I love reading new and interesting articles. I have already seen that those can be found on here.

Good luck to everyone who has accepted the challenge. I hope we all have fun and learn a lot of interesting things along the way.

Note: For those who are still getting to know me this is Linda M McCloud from Yahoo (AC) and Linda-From-Ohio from that other site.

Here is the link to the article where I first heard about the challenge for those who are interested: http://www.personapaper.com/article/10776-friends-of-persona-paper---the-launch

What exactly is the challenge? Thanks for sharing!

It is a challenge started by suffolkjason . I am not sure if we are allowed to put URL links in our posts. People who accepts the challenge will try to read at least one post a day and spend 15 minutes a day reading, commenting and sharing posts by others who accept the challenge for 30 days. If we are allowed to share links, I will add the first post that has all the rules and stuff about it onto my post or you can check out suffolkjason profile page for the link to it.

Hooray for you! I will add your name to the list.

So far I haven't had any problems including links in my comments. I abide by the no referral or self-advertising links, but other than that, I think the practice is currently acceptable.

Welcome to the Friends of Persona Paper Challenge! Have no fear -- the goals of the challenge are set to give us all something to aim for. Some months we achieve more than others, since life away from the computer has to come first.

I think your dedication to your mother and her well-being is heartwarming. Come by and post whenever you are able or feel up to it. I am certain the community will embrace you warmly.

Onward and Upward, Together! FOPP : )

Thanks for the tip. I was planning on beginning to follow the tag and to start adding that to all of my articles from now on, as well.

I will certainly accept this challenge. Good luck with your challenge work. I am a caregiver as a job for elderly people. I also help my mother who lives with me. She ruptured her esophagus in May and was in critical care for awhile. She is doing better but still has to have a surgery to hopefully repair everything.

Linda-From-US wrote on October 21, 2014, 9:17 PM

I am sorry about your mom's health problems. I hope her surgery goes well. Will she be having it soon. My mom's main problem is weight loss, stomach pain, and arthritis. Lots and lots of tests have been done. The doctors have no clue what is causing the weight loss or the stomach pain. But she is doing some better since she began eating more yogurt and drinking Boost.

Yes we are hoping that mom has surgery in November. She goes to see the surgeon on Nov. 12. You can read about her ordeal at bubblews where I wrote about it several times.

Ah, there are some members here who will sympathize with your caregiver role, like GemofaGirl and alexdg1 . It's very challenging.
